Chapter 19

Pitch Black

Anne was in the kitchen cooking lunch for both her and Rapunzel, though she's not sure if Rapunzel would really eat. She has been locking herself in her room for a few days now and refuses to talk. Anne refuses to put any pressure on her or even push her to talk. She knows that this just might lead to her shutting her out completely and she'd hate that.

She wants her lovely Rapunzel to come to her herself when she's ready to talk. Anne is pretty aware of her having problems at school, she herself gets bullied by the neighbours sometimes saying that their family is evil and all. She ignores them to be honest and would never let that get to her. She only cares about Rapunzel's safety and for her to never get..... missing..

That's why she's a bit over protective but she's aware that locking her won't do her any good. Her daughter forced Rapunzel to homeschool so she would never leave the house..... however in doing so that would only make her a bigger target..... how does she know that? She just does...

Avoiding things with too much effort will only get you an opposite result. She wants Rapunzel to be fine yes... she wants her to feel normal and belonged but it's hard... Ever since that day of the accident she became... different. And oh god when she tried to tell the police what really happened..... seeing that...... dark shadow...

Anne freaked out... the way Rapunzel explained the details of..... him..... God! She never wants her precious Rapunzel to suffer like that again. She can only hope though.... only hope.... that Rapunzel will never go missing... she knows there's nothing really in her power to prevent that but she's doing her best.

"Rapunzel! Lunch is ready!" She shouted. Not getting a reply in return she just sighed. She has been like that these past few days "I'll make you a plate and leave it on the stove okay?" She shouted again and yet no response. She understands... she just wants to be alone.

If only Anne knew why she wanna be alone....

Rapunzel had her door closed, curtains closed as well allowing only a dim ray of sun light to pass through. She was sitting there on her bed with knees up her chest as she buried her face in them while covering her ears.

"Coward......"

"Liar....."

"Useless......"

"Your fault Rapunzel....."

Tears were streaming down her face hard as she can feel her heart beating rapidly while hearing those whispers.

"Stop....please just stop.." She whispered in a pleading tone.

"You're under my control....."

"You can't help them......"

"Wanna hear Emma's screams?..."

"AHHHH HELPP"

"Just please... Leave me alone" She cried again looking at the shadows that were everywhere in her room... they have been here for days surrounding her everywhere and whispering the most awful things.. She knows it's him doing this...

"Why should i?..."

"Poor naive Rapunzel....."

"I'll take them all as i took your parents...."

"No! Not them please! Not anyone else!" She pleaded, she doesn't want anyone else to get missing.

"Just like i took Jaime...."

"Just no! Don't do that please.... bring Emma back... Bring Hans back...please..." She begged as tears kept streaming down her face.

"You'll lose everyone....."
