Chapter 9

Stop Running Away

"Why do you keep running away !"

"Why won't you meet my eyes?"

"Do you always let others push you around !"

"Stop throwing a bomb then run away !"

"You know what I think? I think you're a coward, I would have never let anything stop me from finding my sister but you let him manipulate you when he took Jaime"

"Yeah that's right, go ahead run away ! That's what you're good at anyways"

His words screamed in her head making it hard to breathe for her. She's not running away ! Or maybe in a way she is but it's not because she's a coward !

"You don't know what you're talking about.." She whispered to herself as she hugged her knees while sitting on her bed with tears in her eyes "It's not like I want to run away...."

Am I really a coward? Is running all I am good at? But The last time I stopped running Jaime paid for it.....

"Why do you even care?...." She asked herself. That boy has made it crystal clear that he despises her just for her existence,  she is used to others hating her but this one in particular giver her mixed feelings. One moment he's all scary and another moment he....acts as if he cares ? That's just stupid, no way he feels like that. Everyone already hates her snd it's better this way.

She started thinking as memories of years ago played in her mind like flashbacks. That day when everything changed...that day when her parents died..that day when she saw him for the first time..

"You can't do this ! Honey just listen to me leaving is not an option here" Her grandmother Anne tried reasoning.

"Mum No ! I am done from this town and I can't let my daughter grow up here" Arianna snapped as she kept packing with Fredric the stuff.

"Staying here is the best for Rapunzel ! If you wanna leave then you will not take her"  Anne demanded gaining a glare from her daughter "Even Rapunzel wouldn't wanna leave"

"Rapunzel is just a child, she doesn't know what's best for her" Arianna replied.

"And you do ! For god's sake listen to yourself, you can't leave ! It's not safe believe me....he.....he won't let yo-"

"Mum please !" Fredric snapped "I can't live with the worry I wake up with everyday that I might find my daughter missing"

"You made a mistake when you didn't leave before and decided to let me grow up here" Arianna walked closer to her mother "I will not make the same mistake with my daughter"

"I am done" Fredric informed as he finished packing.

"Wait for me in the car, I'll get Rapunzel" Arianna stated and walked outside the room with Anne following behind.

"No ! You can't do this, trust me something wrong will happen" Anne pleaded but her daughter was too determined as she walked inside Rapunzel's bedroom and lifted her in her arms "Are you even listening to me ? Arianna ! Arianna don't walk away" Anna kept shouting at her daughter with tears starting to fill her eyes as her daughter opened the door and walked outside "Arianna please no ! I am begging you don't do this"
