Matt x Reader

You opened the door to his car and plopped in with a smile set on your face. It had been the longest tim since the two of you had spent any time together. And, finally, here you were, getting that chance and doing it in the best way possible. Going on a long, aimless, pointless and relaxing drive.

Adjusting his goggles, Matt looks at you with a smirk playing at his lips and a cigarette between them. "Are you ready?"

You place your feet up on the dash, roll the window down and nodded, "Always ready."

With a satisfied nod and a short chuckle, his foot hit the gas and off they went.

For weeks, the two of you drove anywhere and everywhere, only stopping for gas, food and rest. Though, you never stopped at a motel unless it was raining. Instead, you would pull out a few blankets, lay them out on the roof and watch the stars all night.

"Hey, _______?" Matt calls for your attention.

Shifting your body so we're able to look at him you hummed a response.

"I love when we do this. When it's just us and the road."

You laughed, "Matt, you're sounding like some cheesy romance novel."

He laughed and sat up. "Well, maybe I'm trying to be romantic."

You stopped laughing a gave him a confused look, "What?"

He laughed. "Whatever. What do you say we call this our first date?"

Your face reddened as you slowly nodded, "Y-yeah. Sure."

He chuckled quietly as he leaned in and placed a soft kiss on your lips.
