Laxus x Reader

Okay, so for this story, you are best friends with Mystogan and you're just going to roll with it. Back story: you have known him since before he was Mystogan.

You couldn't believe what you had heard. None of it could be be true, right? You found Mystogan and gave him a questioning look, kneeling down beside him.

He nodded his head, "The rumors are true," he said gravely, "it appears that Laxus has really put the Thunder Palace in place."

You shook your head. You thought you had gotten to him. You thought you had brought the good out in him, but this just proved you wrong. This whole situation undid any progress you had made with him and more.

Knowing your feelings towards Laxus, Mystogan placed a comforting hand on your shoulder, "Let's go. We have to help the others stop Laxus."

You stood back up and clenched your fists in anger, "I can't believe him! After everything and he still pulls this shit? When is he going to learn that the guild isn't the enemy here?!" You turned from Mystogan and started walking towards Magnolia, "He's going to get expelled from the guild." Having that thought run through your head washed away the anger you were feeling and replaced it with a helpless and dreadful feeling.

"I'm sorry." Mystogan stood up and followed behind you, "What's done is done. There isn't anything we can do to change that fact now. All we can do right now is do our best to put an end to his temper tantrum." He wrapped an arm around your waist and teleported the two of you to Cardia Cathedral.
*Time skip*
'Shit! Erza is here!' You were freaking out now not only because Laxus was beating Mystogan, but because Erza had appeared followed by Natsu.

"Your guard is down!" Laxus yelled and blasted a bolt of lightning at Mystogan.

"No!" You ran forward, having no idea how, but you needed to stop the lightning. You couldn't let it hit him. If it did, his secret would be out. Pain seared up your arm and through your body and you collapsed at Mystogan feet.
*Time skip*
You woke up in the hospital wing with bandages wrapped around your arm. Your head throbbed and you brought your arm up to your eyes to shield them from the light.

"You're awake."

You move your arm away from one of your eyes to see the master sitting on the bed next to yours. "Master." You move to sit up but stop at the pain shooting through your arm.

"Rest child." He gave you a sad look and his eyes were red and puffy. He had been crying.

"Is it over?"

He nods, "Yes. The others are fine and they all intend to go forth with the parade."

"And Laxus?"

Master sighed and hands you an envelope. "He wanted me to give this to you. Please, know I only did what I needed to do. I hope you bare no hate towards me."

You nod and wait for him to exit the room before tearing open the envelope and reading the contents inside.

I don't know what to say to you. I have no idea what you must think of me right now but I'm sure whatever feelings there was are now gone. I'm sorry for being a reckless fool. I was too full of shit to realize what good I had. Sadly, that knucklehead Salamander and that piece of shit metal head were the ones who made me realize what an idiot I was being. I'm such a fool for tossing everything... Including you... Aside. I don't know when or if we will see each other... But if our paths ever cross again, I hope that... Well... I can't hope for much after what I did to you... But I hope I am a better man than I am now. I feel sick when I look at you lying in that hospital bed, knowing it was me who put you there. I'm such a fool and I understand if you never wish to speak to me again. Thank you for all you have done for me.

You wiped the tears away from your eyes, "That damn fool!"
*Time skip: this skips to the part of Edolas when Mystogan sends all the magic bye bye*
You push your way through the crowd towards Mystogan after his fight with Natsu. Your body had already started to glow and your eyes burned with tears. You had to get to him before you were thrown out of Edolas.

"Mystogan!" You shout, voice filled with panic. "Myst!" You finally break through and throw yourself into his arms, "Mystogan!"

He held you tight, knowing that in a few minutes, you would be separated forever. After Laxus had left, the relationship the two of you had grew deeper. He knew he shouldn't have let it go that far but it did. He didn't think things would come to this.

"I'm sorry, _______."

Your body shook in his arms as tears ran down your face. "I can't lose you too..." You whisper softly.

Mystogan took your face into his hands and looked you in the eyes, "Listen, I am sure you and Laxus will find your way back to each other." His eyes were sad as he spoke the words, "I wish the best for you two when you find each other." He placed his first and final kiss on your lips as you rose away from him.

You floated away from him and waved goodbye as the anima sucked you back to Earthland.
*Time skip(because I'm lazy)*
This is after Hades and his dark guild are defeated on Tenrou

You find your way back to camp after the fighting wore out and as you get closer you hear a familiar voice. Your heart rose and you picked up the pace. You pushed the last branch out if the way and saw a blond, muscular man sitting next to Gildarts.

He stopped talking and looked up when you appeared. He gave you a small smile "Hey, _______, it's been a while."

Tears welled up in your eyes as you ran forward and threw your arms around him. "You idiot!" You hid your face in his neck, ""I hate you!"

His arms wrapped around you and held you close, "I know. I hate me too. I've missed you every single day."

You sobbed, unable to say anything to him, not only because of the crying but because you couldn't find the words to say. He was back and he was in your arms. You were the happiest you had been in the longest time.

I'm so sorry that the ending was terrible and half assed. I'm a little distracted by Magic Mike at the moment lol. But I hope you guys enjoyed this. I believe this is my fist Laxus story.
