If only Lavanya had woke up an hour early for the first day of her university, then she probably couldn't have been running now, Lavanya cursed herself, whilst uncaringly running towards her class. The fact that she was in the big city of America that was known to her yet so unfamiliar was already making her feel uneasy and then she is late for her first day in the university made her heart thump widely in her chest.
Those soft feet sprinted on the marble floor with some looking at the girl in the lime green dress with narrowed eyes but Lavanya was least bothered about the stares.
Yet, her steps halted when Lavanya collided with some... not just someone but the walking hell itself as the boy smirked at. "Richard?" she said, trying to walk away from him but her way was blocked by him.
Richard was the bully of this college. Everyone was aware of the dirty deeds of the boy who had spent one year of his life in prison for being involved with drug mafias, Lavanya was too aware of this story about him and so she choose an option to not get noticed by him in any way. Her innocent self was not ready to bear any type of torment given by the bully Richard.
"Please let me go?" she quivered, clutching the side of her dress. Richard looked at her narrow eyes before saying, "No!" And then she heard him laughing. Lavanya wondered what had she done it get such an unpleasant day today.
She was about to request him once again when someone voiced. "Let her go... Richard," deep and sensual the voice was to her ears and intense. Turning her honey-brown eyes met those silent green ones and her ivory complexion turned hot. She knew she was blushing yet she couldn't help it.
Richard left her to go upon his declaration, whilst seeing her so-called saviour go as Lavanya ran behind him. "Hey, actually I want to thank-" her words were cut off by those green eyes piercing into her soul.
"Are you done?" sounding irritated, he asked while her mouth opened at how rude he was. "I was just thanking you. What is wrong with that, huh?" folding her arms beneath her breasts, she said and he looked at her with a smile. It was adorable for him to see how feisty she pleased with him.
"What is your name?" this time he asked. "Lavanya! Lavanya Singh," forwarding her hands towards him, Lavanya told. With this time, he too forwarded his hands towards her.
"Yuvaan Singhania," he smirked at her. The title 'Singhania' held high with pride. Of course, he needed no introduction, Lavanya sorted. After all, Yuvaan Singhania was the most talked about person in this university, if not, in the whole of India.
*Back to the present
With one arm placed under his head, Yuvaan stared up at the white ceiling ideally. The room was dimly lighted as he heard the curtain fluttering with the air breeze. It was one place where Yuvaan knew he felt peace... yet so alone and left in the world. Sketches and sketches scattered all around him and upon the wall were paintings and sketches done by him in those sleepless nights... every night!
A long sigh trailed from his mind as he closed those green eyes. He expected to see those honey-brown eyes flash in front of him just like every time it did but this time it was different.
"Meera," her name from his mouth barely came out like her whisper as he stood up and walked to face her sketch hanging on the wall. It felt like she was staring at him, accusing him of being weak. For accusing her and breaking her heart, for hurting her... for everything.
But Yuvaan knew the consequences of her loving him. Being close to him was just going to bring her one thing and that was... death.
