"Dr. Vihaan Oberoi."
If it was not for the white coat which he had grasped into his forearm before had stood looking at the siblings with a raised eyebrow, anyone could have mistaken Dr. Vihaan Oberoi as a cut out model straight away from a rich magazine company.
Dhruvika had plastered a small smile and he had returned with a curt nod. Rude much... Dhruvi thought before fixing her eyes away from him.
"Why do I hear some chickens barking in my ears." Dhruvika rolled her eyes. She wondered why don't the doctors inject him a high dose for him to at least relax awhile, or did the medicines worked differently on him?
"At times I regret saving some of my patients." From her left side, Dhruvika heard Dr. Vihaan muttering something under his breath but she was quick enough to hear him. The head doctor- or that is what she had supposed cleared his throat before announcing, "Dr. Vihaan is one of the best surgeon of our country. Mr Singhania was lucky enough that Dr. Vihaan reached him on time and since he is Mr Singhania's doctor, he will be staying in the palace for a few days to see how his patient is progressing."
Vihaan's lips curled into a tight-lipped smile. "Yes," he agreed through his gritted teeth. It seemed like that the idea of being her husband's doctor didn't seemed fun to him. Could the lawyer and doctor ever go together?
Dhruvika worried seeing Avyaan's reaction towards him or rather towards any staff of the hospital. "Now we should leave and let Mr Singhania be," the doctor declared before heading straight towards the exit.
"Dhruvi!?" Robin had called when he was about to leave but had turned just to find his sister standing where she was before. "I'll be there," she nudged and he sighed before turning on his heels.
Dhruvika walked towards the bed. Even if his eyes were forced closed, she knew that he could feel her presence near him. The way his body had weakly stirred told her he didn't wanted her but she still chose to sit on the stool beside him.
"I know... I know that my presence irritates you but for once Avyaan could we at least pretend to be fine with each other, even if we are not..." Dhruvika let out with a tear pickling down from her eyes and falling into his cheek. 'Why was she crying?' She couldn't understand herself but soon realizing that she was being silly, Dhruvika pushed back the tears. Her smile formed on her lips.
She leaned down that his face was just few inches away from her. "Chickens don't bark..." her lips connected with his cheeks before her complexion became brighter than ever.
"Smiling, are you?" Robin raised his eyebrow in a cocky manner, just for his sister to negatively shook her head off when she had gotten out of the ICU quietly and flushed.

"She what? Left? How?" Dhwani half-yelled, her eyes staring at the ceiling in the half-lighted room. The lights were again gone in Trivandhan Mahal but that was not the main tension for her now. The news of her elder sister-in-law just leaving with a word had made Dhwani's heart grip tightly.
Meera was the fistful of person who was nice to her and she knew that Meera didn't deserve to leave the palace with tear-filled eyes. "I don't know... my reaction was not less shocking like you. I had never imagined Meera bhabhi to leave," Dhruvika muttered from the other side of the phone.
"How could I know that something was wrong despite we staying under the same roof?" She heard Dhruvika's guilty voice. Suddenly, Dhwani felt as guilty as her sister-in-law. She talked to Meera and she couldn't understand what she was going through. Maybe under their own pain, they were shielding away from the world. Not realizing what lies beyond the four walls of the Singhania Palace.
