'Avyaan was shot' Dhruvika wouldn't think about anything else. Her mind had kept on repeating Walid's serious words. It was nothing new to the Singhania family when it came to attacks and all the dangers. She had remembered when her mother-in-law had said to live with that fact when Dhruvika had stepped inside the palace as his bride but she couldn't. Her fragile heart couldn't.
Robin was there, as a brother he took the responsibility to make sure that Dhruvika's copper had landed safely on the hospital pad and his sister had returned unharmed. "Make sure this news doesn't get out of the hospital," ordered Robin to the security in charge. With each steps Dhruvika took along with him, her grip on Robin's hand had tightened.
Would she afford to lose Avyaan regardless his cocky attitude?
"Mr Chauhan?" Robin stopped in front of the ICU as the doctor before them stared at the siblings.
"The bullet was found near his abdomen and one near his collarbone. By the time Mr Singhania was brought up here he had lost many of its blood and had already collapsed while-" Dhruvika had cut off the doctor's words by her own.
"How is he know?"
"Mr Singhania has been put under heavy medication but we can't say that he is out of danger despite the operation went successfully. It is up to him that how will he be able to survive."
"Mr Ritvik Chauhan..." Robin's body had straightened when the doctor called him by his birth name for what he was known as. Dhruvika had concluded that the doctor had took this as a clue that she didn't wanted a conversation and she was thankful for it.
The conversation between the two man had ended with Dhruvika not even focusing on it. Her eyes busy staring at the man lying on the hospital bed through the glass frame.
"Can I see him for once?" Dhruvika was fast enough to question when the doctor was about to leave. "Make sure to maintain silence and be cautious," she nodded before pushing the door open and entering in. Even though she had wanted to ask what had he meant by being cautious, she wasn't in a state to say something.
Her eyes moved up from the monitor to his frame. His lower half body covered by the sheet and the upper half shirtless with bandages around, letting her shriek silently. Her body just shivering by the thought of how much pain was he in when probably they had shot him.
"How many times do I have to tell you to leave me alone," Avyaan weakly said aloud, still under the heavy dose of medicines. His eyes closed. Even if he was injured but he couldn't let go of his attitude, Dhruvika snorted.
This is what the doctor had meant when he had said her to be cautious!
"You can't be for once grateful, can you?" She whispered politely, keeping in her mind to not disturb him, seeing his state.
Avyaan's body had went stiff hearing her voice that was unexpected but had relaxed in awhile. "It is their job... they get paid for it. What is there to be grateful?"
She shook her head. Saving someone's life is never easy but he wouldn't understand that and so Dhruvika had stayed silent because she knew one argument will lead to another.
"You are still alive?" Robin unexpectedly entered, his voice louder and it took him time to realize that this was a hospital as he hissed. "Robin?!" Dhruvika scolded on his words about her husband while the latter lowered his eyes apologetically. Something her brother did rather than apologizing.
Silence fell in the room just to be broken by Robin who noticed his sister's saddened eyes looking at Avyaan. "Dhruvi... why don't you bring yourself a tea from the hospital canteen," he kissed her forehead before she nodded and exited the ICU. As much as Avyaan wanted to throw his friend out of here, he wouldn't.
