All throughout the day, Meera couldn't make it out. She stayed locked up in her room and had skipped her lunch also. Unbothered about the servants request who had came to tell her that Indira Singhania wished to see her, Meera had rebelled. She had wanted to some time alone for herself even if she knew she was going to be scolded by that old lady again.
She was sitting in her room and fidgeting with her camera until a servant had informed her about Vedika Abhimanyu Rajvansh's arrival from Udaipur and her heart skipped in joy. And when she had found that tall woman standing outside of her room, Meera didn't wasted anytime pulling her in.
"How come you are here?" Meera questioned. "It is a long story," Vedika sighed as she sat on the couch in a criss-crossed position and Meera sat beside before folding her legs.
"My mother-in-law said that we had some business with Singhanias. Surely, we haven't came over here for vacation. .. some business that I don't know," explained Vedika, referring to Roop. Meera nodded her head in understanding. Businesses were never shared with women of these two royal family.
Despite Vedika talked less unlike Dhruvika, Meera had always found Vedika's company somewhat more than pleasant. She still remembered the day when the first time she had seen Vedika. She was just 20 when married to man 5 years elder than her. Now Vedika was 22 but more than mature for her age. She knew when to stay silent and when to speak.
"How about we visit Panah today. It has been long," Meera heard Vedika saying. "I desire too but I want to visit with Dhwani and Dhruvika. Dhwani has been out with Rudra and I don't have any idea about Dhruvika," she let out a sigh.
"Well then... I wish to see Dhruvika and Dhwani. I heard how my mother behaved with Dhruvika, I feel terrible," Vedika announced and Meera's eyebrows knitted in confusion. She had no clue what had happened between Dhruvika and Mrs Shrivastav.
"What are you talking about-?" Before Meera could question more about the matter, a knock broke the peaceful time the two were sharing with each other. "Come in," Vedika said it aloud.
"Meera bhabhi? Meera bhabhi?" Dhwani cheered but her loud excited voice got calmed when Dhwani noticed that they were not alone. The unfamiliar face smiled towards her as Dhwani stared at the woman seated on the couch. Maybe this was the woman the maids were gossiping about outside but she had not paid any heed to it.
Indeed... this was the same woman. The wife of the eldest heir of Rajvanshs and crown prince of Udaipur.
"You look beautiful," Dhwani's gaze deepened more in confusion after hearing a compliment from the unfamiliar person who had just seen her and declared her to be pretty even if Dhwani knew she wasn't. It was something pleasant she had heard about her ever seen she came into this family.
"Good to see you... Mrs?" Dhwani said as she walked towards where Meera was seated. "Oh don't be formal... after all, we are a family. If only you consider me," Vedika let out a nervous laugh at the end.
Dhwani looked perplexed. Who wouldn't want to Vedika a part of their family after knowing how sweet she was. The first person whom Dhwani liked from the first glance.
"And I would love to make a part of my family, Vedika bhabhi," Dhwani sat beside Meera in the same criss-crossed position. Meera looked at the two women with a smile on her face. She wasn't lying when she had thought that Vedika knew when to speak and when to stay silent. How terribly the family of Rajvanshs had changed the innocent twenty year old into a twenty two year old mature woman.
Meera saw how Dhwani was beaming every now and then. She had never seen her being so happy since the day she stepped inside the palace as Rudra's bride but today was different. Was she happy to meet her parents?
