hello hello it's ur beloved author tehe

okay anyways i kinda wanted to make this definitely not because i still cannot detach myself from this book but because i feel like somethings may have been a little confusing and i just wanted to explain things????? i put a lot of thought into my writing and hide so many different meanings in them but of course i won't give them all away because what's the fun in that but yeah anyway here i'll just summarise what i want to say about the characters and then go through each of the chapters!!!!! enjoy😍

okay so first. y/n herself, of course, my love. i feel like a lot of people found her annoying during the angsty part of the book. it was on purpose. y/n had to grow up too fast, making her seem childlike in her moment of weakness. that's what i wanted to portray of her. she is very childlike even after she dies and comes back alive but is serious when she needs to be mainly because she likes to connect with her childlike side of her that she missed out on, both in snezhnaya and when she was left in mondstadt. hence the duck panties and her getting upset quickly and crying easily.

that's mainly what i wanted to say about her. i also wanted y/n to kind of be a reflection of kaeya?? like i hope people picked up on how similar they were. and how diluc treats kaeya throughout and their improving relationship due to the fact that diluc never wanted to treat y/n the same way he did to kaeya. yeah.

i think the rest of the characters i'll explain in the chapter summaries tehe okay

OKAY CHAPTER 1
okay i still to this day love how i began this book it's so funny but anyway beginning it with y/n drinking i really just wanted to set the scene on how the main characters are and interact and also place emphasis on kaeya??? as diluc and y/n's relationship improved during the beginning chapters kaeya was kind of pushed to the side so having him being one of the main people in the first chapter really was the make sure people knew he would be important later on – him being the one there for y/n after diluc and her broke up

CHAPTER 2
this was really to just introduce y/n as a character and how she lives without a vision and how she feels about it. also introduces lumine and tbh lumine was just a plot device throughout HELP you probably noticed she was only there for diluc and y/n to get closer at the start and then was just used as a teleportation device and a letter sender by the end AHHAA okay but jokes aside really lumine was also there to inform u what was going on the teyvat at that moment like it starts with stormterror and ends with her getting rid of the vision hunt decree so yeah that was important because of ajax angstily leaving at the end who knows what happens to him when he finds scaramouche LOL and also electro visions weren't being given during that time so i kind of had to make it make some sort sense 😭

CHAPTER 3
okay this chapter really was just to develop diluc and y/n's relationship and also THE INTRODUCTION OF MARIAAA here maria touches kaeya up not because she liked him but so that she could get info out of him but because kaeya is clever and gay he did not comply also maria is gay too she never had interest in him 😍 i think a lot of people got the wrong idea and thought kaeya was enjoying it??? it said he was cringing and he even removed her hand off him himself he definitely was not enjoying it but he was pretending, to get info out of her LOL maria was a little more drunk tho so she couldn't tell

also the scene where diluc goes to y/n's house to return her bow and her house is trashed by the storm her door was open because she just got home and it's hinted in the next chapter that she was crying aw poor y/n i'd imagine she was right behind that door when diluc pushed it

CHAPTER 4
SMALL LAMP GRASS TIMEEEE EHEHHE BUT FIRST before that this was to reinstate kaeya and y/n's relationship i feel like... i really wanted to showcase the irony in kaeya's character here. i feel like almost if not all of the cryo characters have some sort of irony in them. kaeya continuously says and implies throughout the book and in this chapter that he respects y/n's privacy and rather her secrets are kept hers, but as the book goes on he soon finds more and more abt her unbeknownst to her. in my opinion i feel like it still wouldn't sit right with him, but then again kaeya to me is a very morally grey character. he'd continue finding more abt her just because he found it interesting. and of course, as we find out later, he related to her. always so funny to think abt kaeya.
