-+-Third POV-+-

Y/n had always loved the sweet smell of the markets and the sound of the village people having fun. Something about the way everyone got along and they all knew each other, made Y/n feel accepted and loved.

Y/n was always known amongst the townspeople as friendly and welcoming. Lots of people looked up to them and adored them. Y/n was never bothered by it and was always genuinely flattered when someone brought it up. All of the younger kids loved them just as much as they loved a certain magical boy from a certain magical family.

Okay, so just groceries, snack, then head home. Y/n thought as they walked through the markets. That's all I have to do. Gosh I overthink stuff too much. Alright. Cheese, flour, oil, yeast. Cheese, flour, oil, yeast. Chee-

Y/n's thinking was cut off when someone knocked into them, sending them both plummeting towards to ground. Y/n landed on their back and groaned with pain from the person running into them.

The person quickly sat up and looked at Y/n with a hint of confusion before standing up and offering them a hand. They took it, but before they got muster up any words, they started running with Y/n's hand still in theirs.

They found themselves in a community garden heaving and gasping, trying to catch their breath. Y/n hadn't even gotten a proper look at who the person was. For all they knew, they could be a kidnapper.

They looked over to see a strikingly familiar face bent over and holding their chest. Mirabel? But Mirabel never liked running. Why was Mirabel running?

Y/n couldn't stop their mind from spitting questions like fire but then Mirabel morphed into.. Camilo?! Y/n thought Mirabel running from something was bad, but Camilo had to have done something much worse to run from it.

Of course, it was nice for Y/n to see Camilo again but they were still concerned.

"Camilo, why were you running in the markets?! It's also not polite how you didn't explain anything and drag me with you, you know!" Y/n scolded Camilo like they had never grown apart.

"Geez I'm sorry Y/n! How have you been?" Camilo chuckled, scratching the back of his head.

"I've been good, thank you for asking. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have things to do. Goodbye." They started walking away before they were pulled back by their wrist.

"Wait! I wanted to catch up with you. We can talk again like we used to. We could be friends again."
