They didn't let go

"So, um, I never got to formally apologise to you." Camilo was fiddling with his hands, trying his best to keep eye contact with Y/n.

"You apologised already! I feel like you've been apologising too much recently. I accept your apology with great gratitude." Y/n reassured him.

"Since when did you get good with words? You always used to use short sentences like 'yeah' or 'thanks'." Camilo laughed a little, Y/n rolled their eyes.

Y/n looked back at Camilo as he looked off to the side. They noticed bits of green in his usually brown eyes. Had that always been there? Y/n got up from the bed and stood over Camilo, catching his attention as they were very close now. They started noticing other things too.

Y/n grabbed his face and turned it from side to side to get a better angle. The light from the lamp made his eyes sparkle with bits of green and gold dancing in his iris. His freckles looked like paint splatters all along his face and neck.

Y/n kept looking around his face and Camilo was getting really confused and flustered. He kept opening his mouth to try to speak, but he would just keep closing it when nothing came out.

Y/n finally noticed Camilo's face getting increasingly red, and they quickly let go of his face and sat back down on the bed. They sat very uncomfortably because they realised what they'd done.

"I'm sorry, I just saw how the light from the lamp hit your eyes and made it have green and gold bits in it and I was really fascinated so I wanted a closer look. Sorry to make you my lad rat." Y/n apologised.

"No! You don't need to apologise! I probably didn't handle that very well and made you feel uncomfortable when you found out. I'M sorry." Camilo tried to convince them.

He realised his words wouldn't be that affective so he stood up and walked over to Y/n and sat down.

He didn't say anything, just a quick glance at them before taking them in his arms and hugging then. Y/n immediately hugged back and squeezed him tightly. And they didn't let go.

//Sorry for such a short chapter! I'm finishing this on my phone and I just want some sleep tonight so this one is a little short. Sorry! Anyways, I hope you're enjoying the story so far, I don't have a plan for the rest, I'm just kinda going with the flow. But I also wanted to thank you all for the amount of support I've received and I really appreciate it. I wouldn't have kept going after chapter 11 if I didn't have people who wanted more.
