"Because, you aren't being very kind to your father. I've given you everything. I killed your mother because she was going to tell you about your gift. I know it's wrong but I wanted to protect you. She wanted you to be shunned by the community, and I couldn't let that happen to my child."

"Wait, that's what happened to mom? Are you serious?" Y/n pleaded, only asking for it to be a prank. But alas, Alejandro lowered his head and slowly nodded. "But, You loved her. How could you?"
"I'm terribly sorry, Y/n. But Sofia wanted to tell you about your power. She didn't have a power so she couldn't understand the risks of people knowing. Seeing as though she talked and talked about it so much, I knew it was only a matter of time before she got to you."
Y/n had a sick feeling in their stomach. They felt like the floor was moving up and down like the waves in an ocean, and they'd never even seen one. Their dinner was going to make a reappearance on the ground if they didn't do something soon.
"Look, I know you loved her but she had to go. Why don't you come closer and we ca discuss a compromise. We can figure out what it will take for you to trust me again. Because I know you can."
"I'm not going anywhere near you. You're a murderer and a foul man. You deserve to be killed for what you've done. You say you wanted what's best for me but killing my mother was not it!" Y/n retaliated.
Alejandro sighed. He had a sorry look on his face, as if he was regretting what he was about to do. He stood up and he walked down the side of the table and met with Y/n.
They stood up, turning their head upwards ever so slightly, as if it would shield them from him. Now he looked like he was in pain, as if he was feeling everything they did. He grabbed their shoulder, the same one he dislocated, and he squeezed it.
"I didn't want you to be cast out by our community. I didn't want anything like this happening. I just wish you could've listened to what I told you. You were such an obedient child. And I'm sorry."
Before anything else could be said, he smacked Y/n upside the head with his other hand. The impact was so hard that Y/n felt dizzy again. Their feet felt light and their shoulders felt heavy and their body fell somewhere in between and eventually, their vision blackened.
Alejandro looked at his child, who had now fallen limp in his arms. He sighed again, letting out any doubt in his body and taking in all the courage in the room. And with that, he lifted Y/n off the ground and carried them to a hatch in the ground off to the side.
He threw them in and jumped in after them. He then bound their wrists to a wall. He sat them up, made sure the pipe was working alright, and then he climbed through the hatch.
He didn't lock it, seeing as though no one could really be strong enough to open the door, apart from Luisa. But Luisa would have no business here, would she?
Right?
