Camilo and Y/n sat in the tree until the sun started to rise the next morning. They had both drifted off to sleep a little while after Dolores left for home during the night. Y/n woke up from a pain in their back from sleeping in a tree all night.

They looked down to see the morning sun shining onto Camilo's face, turning it into a beautiful, orange masterpiece. Y/n couldn't help but smile at the sight. They'd never realised how different Camilo had grown to be.

He was a lot smarter and flirtatious. He was still a pain in the ass though. Y/n couldn't help but admire the sunrise over the horizon. Being in such a tall tree, they could see some surrounding hills and mountains from outside the Encanto.

Y/n shook the sleeping teen leaning on their shoulder before starting to climb down the tree. Camilo jumped down and rubbed the sleep from his eyes.

"Good morning sleepy head. We need to get you home, you look like crap." Y/n pointed out, acting as a sort of support for Camilo as he slowly became aware of his surroundings. He looked like he had just woken up form an eternal nap.

"Mmm, yeah morning," he mumbled through his hands as he smooshed his face, "How are you such a morning person?"

"I just woke up before you. You sound sick, are you okay?" Y/n placed a hand on Camilo's forehead, before being swatted away.

"It's fine, uhm. I'm fine! It's just when I go places I haven't really gotten familiar with, my allergies start playing up. When I got my room, the first week and a half was just non-stop sneezing and head colds. Dolores hated it."

By the time he finished talking, they had made it back to Casita. It still looked exactly the same as when Y/n was younger.

"Well, I guess this is where our story ends," Y/n held out a hand for Camilo to shake. Even they realised they looked stupid, "I hope we don't get into trouble for this. Goodby-"

Y/n hadn't even gotten the rest of their sentence out before they were grabbed by the shoulder from behind and dragged away. It was their Dad. And he looked absolutely pissed off. Y/n looked back to Casita to see Camilo standing at the door with a shocked look on his face. He knew he wouldn't be able to do anything to a fully grown man.
