-+-Third POV-+-

Dinner ended very abruptly after Mirabel and Y/n pulled Dolores from her chair as she tried telling Camilo the 'news'. She was led to Mirabel's room where she was formally interrogated by the two teens.

"I just wanna know. How many people have you told?" Y/n tried to be firm but it wasn't working.

"Here let me try." Mirabel put a hand on Y/n's shoulder as she failed to crack her knuckles. "I'm going to tell Mariano that you want all your children to be named after the Russian relatives in season 3 of two rats one cheese if you don't tell us who you told."

Dolores got genuinely nervous after that statement.

"I told Camilo about Mirabel's crush and I hinted at the fact that Y/n might have something for him but he's just so dense he didn't really get it so I was going to give up and tell my mama when Bruno asked me to get him some tea so I sat down with him and explained the entire conversation you two had word-for-word! Don't tell Mariano a thing." She covered her face with her hands jokingly. "Also, Camilo wants you, Y/n."

Mirabel forced Y/n out of her room and to Camilo's room, knocked on the door for them and then ran back to her own room to spy with Dolores.

He opened the door not long after and brought them inside and sat on the ground next to his bed.
"So uh, what was that at dinner? Were you being held at gunpoint or something? That was a little weird. No offence."

"None taken." Y/n chuckled, knowing the truth would never get out to him. "Mirabel and I were having a heart to heart about really serious stuff about my dad and what happened to mom and we realised that Dolores, you kniving little shit, could hear. So, we did what any sane person would do and we took turns staring daggers into her face holes until we could get away."

"Ah. I see." Camilo seemed a little concerned at the response he got but he didn't complain. "Anyways, you're probably wondering why you're here, right? Simple answer, I'm extremely lonely and wanted someone to talk to because I can."

And he wasn't wrong. He was indeed lonely. Y/n was just someone he could turn to for basically anything. Being in the same room as them made him happier instantly.

***Time skip - a few hours***

After hours of talking and having fun, the two teens had worn themselves out. They were both sitting on the floor next to the bed and could barely keep their eyes open.

The things going on in both their minds were vastly different, but they both shared one key factor. They both had hope for change. They both had hope that change would come.

And with that final though, their eyes closed and they both drifted off to sleep.
