The room Pt.2

Y/n awoke to a throbbing pain on their cheek. They didn't remember much. All they remembered was they went to look for Alejandro and found him in a cave. So why couldn't they remember what happened next?

They then tried to move their arms. They were bound to the wall behind them with a thin chain. Why is it so thin? Surely I can break it.

So they tried and tried to break the chain, but to no avail. They kept pulling at it but nothing broke. They were so scared.

Y/n wanted to scream. And scream they did. They didn't know who would be able to hear them. They weren't sure if Dolores could hear them or not. They didn't care though, they wanted every chance possible.

Y/n wasn't sure how long they'd been out for, but they did feel very well rested. At least, they did feel well rested before they tried pulling themself from the wall and screaming for a few minutes each.

Before Y/n could try any new ideas on how to escape, the room started filling with ice cold water. It was slow at first, but after it got half way up their foot, it started getting quicker. They saw a hatch about six or so feet above them, and they assumed it lead to the tavern.

They started thrashing and pulling harder at the chains but they stayed attached to the wall. The water was slowly reaching their hips.

They started panicking even more. Something was telling them that they wouldn't make it. They even teared up a little.

+-+Meanwhile - Casita+-+

Bruno opened his door, but he didn't go in. He had a really bad feeling. He regretted leaving Y/n by themself. Maybe he could've dragged them back home, or went with them, they might be safe.

He ended up closing the door and walking over to Dolores' room. He knocked and soon enough she opened the door. She rubbed her eye and she even looked a little surprised.

"Hey, Tio. Uuh what's up?"

"Dolores, I'm terribly sorry for waking you but I need to you check if Y/n is okay. They wanted to go find Alejandro but I couldn't go with them because I hurt myself and now I have this really bad feeling that they aren't okay and I need to know that they are okay." Bruno stressed.

"Uh, okay.. Wow.... uuhhh.. I can hear them, they are currently screaming and rattling chains... Oh no. That doesn't sound good.. How did you let them go alone?!"

"Look, I feel on my hip when we were climbing down from the roof an so I couldn't walk much and I sat down for a bit and then I came back inside- but I really need you're help. I don't think they're okay so we need to walk everyone up or something. Please help me."

And so, they both went around waking up the whole family. They brought everyone to the dining room and sat down.

"Wait, hold on, where's Y/n? I though they were in the nursery with Mirabel." Camilo asked, looking at Mirabel who just shrugged.

"But, they told me in the middle of the night that they were going to your room. They didn't go to your room. Y/n and Bruno climbed onto the roof." Mirabel explained.

"See, Y/n and I wanted to find Alejandro and- well, I don't know what we wanted to do with him. We just wanted to go find him. And then I fell on my hip when we were climbing down from the roof so I couldn't go with. I came back home and then I felt weird so I thought Y/n might be in trouble. Dolores said they were." Bruno looked down at his hands as he talked.

"Bruno, did I not specifically tell you not to go looking for him because it was too dangerous?" Alma spoke sternly, "Not only did you not listen to my warning, you also projected your bad idea onto Y/n."

"Mama I'm sorry but-"

"Not buts. I don't want to hear it. We need to go look for them. Bruno, you know where to look, take Dolores, Luisa, Felix and Agustin. The rest of us will stay here."

"Abuela, I need to go with them." Camilo interjected.

"Did you not listen to what I just said? You will stay here."

"But we're looking for my partner and I don't want to sit here and wait. I need to go with them. I can help too."

Abuela was about to speak before Agustin interrupted. "Of course, that's a great idea! Your papi and I will make sure no one gets hurt."

And with that, all six Madrigals made their way out the door and over to the small mountain behind Casita.
