"I don't know mom." I said as I sat in the break room. My mom and I were talking about what Baylor and I were doing for Birdie's birthday. "I wish we could do it here." I could hear the sadness in her voice.

"Yeah, it's just going to be us three but we're going to make it super fun for her." I smiled softly. "Yeah, your dad and I will send something for her." "Alright mom." We said our goodbyes before hanging up.

I took off my work shoes and sprayed them with sanitizer before walking into the house. "Morning mama!" Birdie smiled. I looked up; she was eating breakfast. "Hi baby." I walked over to her and kissed the top of her head. I gave a quick kiss to Baylor as well before I went into the bathroom and took a shower.

After getting dressed, I walked back into the kitchen. I grabbed my coffee mug and poured myself some before adding vanilla creamer. I took a long sip and sighed happily. "Good?" Baylor asked, chuckling. I nodded and just leaned against the counter.

I took a few sips before making a bowl of plain oatmeal. I added peanut butter, sliced bananas, and chocolate chips. I sat down on the couch and started eating. Baylor walked over to me and sat down while Birdie played with her toys.

"How was work?" He looked at me. I nodded. "Good, work." I shrugged. "Have you though about...?" He trailed off, looking over at Birdie. I nodded. "I'll tell you when she goes down." He nodded and took a sip of his coffee.

When Birdie went down for her nap, Baylor and I talked about what we're going to do for her birthday. Since she loves rainbows, we're going to make the house into a rainbow with streamers and balloons. I'm going to make a rainbow cake and we're going to play with her favorite toys.
