Hey beautiful people!
I am so sorry for being MIA for all of this time. As you may know I am in law school right now so it has been consuming a lot of my time. But we had a long weekend because of President's Day so I wrote two chapters for y'all. Now they are fairly short so don't judge, I tried my best since its been a while since I last wrote anything. But hopefully, you guys like it. The drama is definitely building.
Also I wanted to take the time to send a big THANK YOU to everyone who has read, commented, and voted for this story. This was my very first story and I was so happy and proud to see that it made over 5k reads! So thank you again for the love and support!
Enjoy!

Sienna POV
"Hey boo!" I said greeting Layla at the door of my apartment.
"Hey girl! I missed you!" she said giving me a hug.
"I missed you too. Here let me take these from you. Go head and get settled, you know where everything's at." I said taking the grocery bags she had from her while she went and put her jacket and purse in the closet and got settled.
We decided to have a girls night since we hadn't had a chance to see each other in a minute. Instead of going out we decided it would be best to just stay in for a change and do something lowkey. I had ordered pizza and bought some wine for us to drink and Lay had brought some snacks. Nothing crazy.
"So catch me up on what's been going on. You know its been a minute since we last hung out." she said sitting on on one of the bar stools in front of my kitchen counter while I got the food and drinks together.
"Girl its been more than a minute. Feels like forever since I saw you last. But there is some news I've been meaning to share with you."
"Oop! Don't tell me I'm about to be an aunty chile!" she joked.
"Girl don't even play like that" I said getting serious.
"I'm just playing. But what's the news though?"
"Well you remember the guy from the restaurant that I met when we had my birthday dinner?"
"Yeah vaguely..."
"Well he and I have been seeing each other for the past couple of months and we just made it official."
"Ooohh okay this sounds promising. Tell me more..."
"Alright well his name is Christian. He is the literal definition of tall, dark, and handsome. When I tell you the man has been blessed by the gods. I mean God took his time! Anyways he's 26, has his own business, is funny, charming, the whole nine. He treats me like an absolute princess. It's definitely too early too tell but I think he might be the one."
"Well I can tell that he got you to calm down a bit because the old Sienna would not have been simpin over a man she just met like this" Layla joked.
"I know it's different for me. I mean it took Mason chasing me for basically a year before I gave in. But I don't know. It's just something about this one that gets me. I just hope I chose a good one this time." I said biting my lip in deep thought about my unlucky history when it came to relationships.
"Yeah I feel you. I feel the same way sometimes with Eli but he reassures me every time that he's not the same as the last guy I dealt with. Just remember the signs are always there, and the guy will show you who they are from the beginning. You just have to pay attention."
"Yeah I guess you're right. Anyways let's make our plates because ya girl is starving!" I joked to lighten the mood.
"Yes please!"
We spent the next couple of hours eating, drinking, and laughing with each other. We were currently watching Girls Trip, one of our favorite movies to watch together.
"The grapefruit scene has always been one of the funniest moments" Layla laughed as the scene played on the tv screen.
"Yea, um excuse me" I said rushing over to the bathroom feeling extremely nauseous out of no where.
I immediately leaned over the toilet emptying the contents of my stomach. Once I felt as though I was finished I flushed and went to the sink to rinse my mouth. As I dried the corners of my mouth with a paper towel I breathed heavily staring at myself in the mirror hoping to God what I think may have caused this was just a fluke. I wasn't ready to be somebody's mom. I was still learning how to take care of myself.
"You okay in there girl?" I heard Layla ask through the bathroom door. Breaking me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah I'll be out in a sec!"
I waited a few more moments before exiting the bathroom, throwing some more water on my face and checking my appearance in the mirror one more time before leaving.
"You good?" Layla asked me as I re-entered the living room.
"Yeah, I think something I ate is making me feel sick. Do you mind if we cut the evening short? I think I need to lie down."
"Of course! Let me just grab my things and I'll be out of your hair." Layla said grabbing her purse and jacket before heading towards the door.
"Thank you for coming over, and I'm sorry the night had to end so abruptly."
"Girl, I am not tripping about that. I hope you feel better soon." Layla responded reaching for a hug which I gladly returned.
"Thank you. Drive home safe and let me know when you make it in." I called behind her as she walked down the hall of my complex towards the elevator.
Closing the door I went straight to my room and got in the bed hoping some rest would help me reset and this whole situation would just be a figment of my imagination by the morning.
The next morning...
I barely got any sleep last night as I tossed and turned in my sleep continuously thinking about the possibility of me actually being pregnant. I was an avid overthinker and because of it I was unable to let my mind rest until it was confirmed whether I was pregnant or not.
So I got dressed and made sure I was standing outside the doors as soon as my local pharmacy opened. Luckily it was just me there and a few staff. I felt embarrassed enough coming in the store by myself to purchase a pregnancy test. I mean I knew I was grown but everything about the situation just screamed "unplanned". Trying to ignore my thoughts I pulled my hoodie further over my head and adjusted my sunglasses as I powerwalked down the aisle I needed. I quickly scanned the shelves snagging at least three tests before heading over to the cashier. I barely made any eye contact with the lady as she scanned my items and quickly grabbed my things, rushing out of the store.
The five minute drive back to my apartment felt like such a drag with the level of anxious energy I had coursing through my body regarding this situation. When I finally made it back to my apartment I wasted no time heading to the bathroom to take the test. I was now pacing back and forth in my hallway waiting on the test results. The directions indicated that it would take about 3 to 5 minutes but it definitely felt much longer than that.
Eventually the timer on my phone went off letting me know it was time for me to check the tests. Taking a deep breath, I walked into the bathroom mentally preparing myself for whatever the verdict was. Looking down I felt my heart shatter as all three tests read positive. I couldn't believe I was really pregnant.
