Eli POV

The annoying buzzing sounds of my of my phone on the nightstand woke me out of sleep. Sighing to myself I answered the phone as quickly as I could before it went to voicemail.

"Hello?"

"Boss?! We been hit. Four of our warehouses were burned down last night along with two trap houses" I heard on of my workers say through the phone.

"Any word on who did it?"

"Yeah and they wanted you to know as well. Each building had the letter K marked on it somewhere"

"Aight, thanks for lettin me know" I said calmly and hung up the phone.

As soon as the phone disconnected I threw it across the room, causing a loud pop sound to cascade across the room as my phone broke into a million pieces.

If it was one thing my pops taught me before he got out of the game, it was to never let the enemy see you weak. As far as I was concerned every nigga I encountered was a opp outside of my inner circle. Even then, I always had to keep an eye out because you never know.

Although I kept a calm facade on the exterior, on the inside I could feel my blood boiling. The audacity of these North Carolina niggas to come to my city and act like they run things round here. Lay popped up out of bed breathing hard and I ran my hand down my face realizing I had scared her out of her sleep.

"Oh my God! Babe, what was that?!" she questioned holding her chest trying to catch her breath.

"Nothin, go back to sleep" I mumbled getting out of bed and walking into the closet to change my clothes.

"Ok, we're not about to act like you didn't just hear that loud ass bang on the other side of the room. I'm not crazy. What was that?"

Ignoring her, I proceeded into the closet and quickly threw on some gym clothes. Nothin fancy, just a hoodie, some joggers, and sneakers. Once I was done, I turned off the light in the closet and walked back out.

"Oh so I guess I'm just talkin to myself then, huh?"

"Leave it alone Layla." I said walking out the room into the kitchen. I grabbed my wallet, keys, and headphones and made my way out the door."

At this point I was seeing nothin but red. Placing my headphones in my ear I blasted the music as I ran down the road towards my gym. It was about two miles from where I lived but I needed the time to think. My thoughts were running wild with all types of murderous ideas. I didn't know exactly how I was gonna go about this shit, but all I knew was somebody was gon die today and it wasn't gon be me.

I made it to the gym in about two minutes. Times like these, it was a good thing I owned the place. I locked all the doors so that nobody could come in behind me. It was about 7:15am, so it was still pretty early and I knew nobody was gon be here this early on a Sunday anyways.
