Layla POV
I woke up with a pounding headache from all of my crying last night. I groaned and rolled over in bed only to find Eli's side empty. I gathered the energy to open my eyes and look around the room. The brightness from the sun blinded me and made my eyes burn causing me to groan even more. I sat up in bed noticing a card on the nightstand addressed to me.
Lay,
I'm headin out for the day. I told you I was gon take care of it and that's exactly was I'm doin.
Anyways I left my black card on the kitchen counter next to some breakfast I ordered for you. I would of made it myself but a nigga can't cook for shit.
But uh take the card and go have yourself a lil self-care day on me. Go to the spa, go shopping, do what you need to do. And bring a friend, I don't want you by yourself today.
Come back to my place when you're done. Grab some more clothes from your place if you have to. I'll see ya later.
- Eli
Eli's gesture brought a smile to my face. I was happy and grateful that he was doing what he could to make sure I was good. Last night was crazy. A lot of shit happened that I wasn't expecting. Especially that fight with Eli, which made me realize that we definitely have a lot to work on in the trust department. But I also feel confident that we'll be able to work it out.
On top of that the whole Mason and Kaine situation was making my head spin. I had so many questions that I didn't even know where to begin to find the answers. I know Eli was trying to keep it together last night for my sake but I know he's most likely pissed about the situation. He said he was gonna handle it but I'm not exactly sure what that entails or how long its gonna take.
Knowing that my thoughts were going to continue to run rampant unless I distracted myself I decided to get up and start my day. I headed into Eli's bathroom and started the shower. I undressed myself and folded my clothes neatly setting them on the bathroom counter while I waited for the water to get hot. Once the temperature was to my liking I stepped inside.
As soon as the water hit me I felt the tension in my body release. I sighed and soaked up the feeling of the hot water hitting my body. I loved Eli's shower way more than mine. Not only was his water pressure perfect but his shower was nice and roomy, and the tile work in this bathroom was to die for. I swear I needed to meet his interior designer because I do not believe this nigga did all of this himself.
After a thirty-minute shower I stepped out and dried myself off. I got dressed in a simple yet cute outfit. I paired a burgundy, blue, and white crop top sweater with a long sleeve white button up, and some medium wash ripped jeans with a pair of brown suede pumps and a leather brown satchel purse. After I was dressed I went back in the bathroom to do my hair. I decided to wear it straight today and threw on a wig with bangs. I did some light nude makeup to complete the look and went to grab my phone and purse from the room.
