Marco POV

D and I pulled up to the dock just as the Dominicans were arriving. We usually conducted all of our transactions here because this place had maximum visibility allowing our crew to scope out any possible threats.

Security got out of the car first and we followed behind them as the Dominicans did the same.

"Do you have the shipment?", I questioned.

"Do you have our money?", the group leader responded.

"You'll get your money as soon as my associate here verifies the product", I said nodding toward D.

"Looks good" he called.

"Good doing business with you," I said sliding the bags of money towards them as D and the security went to collect the drugs.

But before they could grab the bags shots rang out.

"It's a setup! Take cover", I yelled.

Thankfully Six was on a nearby roof helping us shoot because we were outnumbered by about twenty guys.

Within seconds bullets were flying all around us. There was so much going on that I couldn't pinpoint where the shooting was coming from.

"You stupid Americans! You dare steal from us!" the Dominican group leader yelled over the shooting.

"This ain't us!" I yelled back as I fired a few shots in the direction of the shooters.

The Dominicans fled as quickly as they could trying to avoid getting shot themselves.

I looked in the direction of the duffle bags full of drugs lying on the ground just as two men snatched them before taking off running in the opposite direction assuming we would be distracted by the shooting.

Just as I went to shoot at them I was hit in the side by a stray bullet. The force of the bullet knocked me to the ground.

I groaned at the burning sensation while gripping the area where I was shot trying to stop the bleeding.

When D saw what was happening he quickly shot one of the men who took the drugs in his knee while the other continued to run off with what he could. D ran over to me and helped me up.
