Elijah POV
"Yo how much longer til this nigga gets here?" D fussed from the couch, growing impatient.
"He should be here in a few" I responded while pouring myself a glass of hennessy. It was one of those mornings. Seeing Layla last night had my mind all fucked up. Then to hear she got a son by that bitch ass nigga Kaine? I was beyond pissed. This shit never should've happened to begin with. She shouldn't even have been there with me that night. I didn't want her to come in the first place. But her stubborn ass wanted to be involved. Now look where we at.
Feeling my body begin to boil with anger, I went outside on the balcony to smoke. I had rented a place for us since we needed to stay longer than we planned. After we left the club I called the PI I had been working with to come meet us here today.
I heard a knock at the door and some talking. I assumed somebody got the door so I took one last pull from my blunt before putting it out and heading inside.
"Jackson Reeves. Good to see you in person." he said standing to shake my hand as I walked over to sit on the couch with them.
"Yeah, Eli Tate. This is Carter (Six's real name) on my left and Darren on my right." I responded shaking his hand before sitting down.
"Nice to meet you." he said.
"Did you find anything?" I asked growing impatient with all the small talk.
"Yeah I followed them from the club like you asked and it led me to a high rise apartment building in Manhattan. According to my sources they live on the top floor in the penthouse suite. There are armed security guards on the floor 24/7. But I did notice there's a seven-minute window when they switch shifts where no guards are there. The man she was with seems to come home every night around 2am and he doesn't leave again until about noon the next day." he said showing us pictures and blueprints of the apartment building.
"How many guards are on the floor?" Six asked.
"Ten from what I could tell." Jackson responded.
"Thank you for your help." I said signaling for him to leave.
"Of course. Well please let me know if there's anything else I can help you with." he said, grabbing his briefcase.
"So what's the plan boss?" D asked once he was gone.
"Simple. We go in there tonight with some silencers, take those niggas out and bring my girl home." I explained.
"Nah, this shit seems too easy. This nigga done hid this girl from us for the last three years. Nobody could find her. All of sudden we just happen to be in New York and they just miraculously end up at the same club as us. Then on top of that there's only ten guards at any given time and they switch shifts so there's no one there for seven minutes at a time. Like either this nigga got comfortable all of a sudden or this shit is a trap." Six said being the voice of reason as always.
"Nah fuck that! We takin care of dis shit tonight!" I said raising my voice in frustration.
"You need to think wit your head right now bro." Six said trying to plead with me.
