Author's Note

Hey beautiful people! Sorry again for the long wait! As you may know, I am in school right now and my program is super fast-paced. With that being said I rarely have any mental energy to write in between lectures and studying. Hence, the long wait times for updates. But, I am going to try my best to do better. My program ends in mid-November so after that, I should be able to kick out consistent updates for y'all.

I changed things up and spaced out the dialogue. Hopefully it will be easier to read. Please let me know if it helps. If not I'll just go back to the original paragraph format.

As always please remember to vote and comment. I would love to hear your feedback on how the story is progressing. Any predictions on how the plot will play out?

Enjoy...

Mason POV

"Thank you for giving me— I mean, giving us another chance Si", I said as Sienna and I walked hand in hand along the boardwalk.

I took her on a little date night on the town to make up for the bad moves I've made over the last couple of months. It was hard getting her to go out with me too. I practically had to stalk her.

"I didn't have much of a choice. My supervisor said if you showed up at my job one more time she was gonna fired me", she responded.

"Ay, I told you I was gon make this work by any means necessary. I meant what I said ma" I said as I stopped walking to stand in front of her.

"I guess I didn't take you seriously", she said.

"Why not?" I questioned.

She shrugged before saying "I just didn't".

"Nah, that's not good enough. Lemme know what's on your mind ma" , I said.

"Look, this situation, us breaking up, it broke me. I never want to go through that again", she explained.

"I know Si. I know. But you already know that I was drugged, I wasn't in my right mind baby. I would never do you like dat", I said grabbing onto both of her hands as I looked into her eyes so she could know I meant what I said.

"And I understand that. But you still put yourself in a situation to allow that girl to get close enough to you to be slipping shit in your drink", she fussed.

I just sighed and looked down thinking about what I should say next. She grabbed my chin and forced my head up to look at her.

"Despite that, I'm willing to put the past behind us and give this another chance. But if you break my trust or cause me to question your loyalty again, I'm gone. Got it?" she asked.

I put a big smile on my face as I picked her up and spun her around. I needed to make this apology as believable as possible in order to stick to the plan.
