Eli's POV
"Alright I know now isn't the time for all this, but since ya'll aint formally met, D, Six, this is my girl Layla." I said introducing Layla to the crew.
"Nice to meet you Layla.", said Six.
"Sup", said D.
"Now that that's out of the way, we need to work on a plan." I said looking to everybody for ideas.
"Well he wants Layla, so I say we throw her in as a distraction." D suggested.
"Nah, we ain't doing that. That's not happenin." I said shutting his idea down.
"Wait, babe, he's right. I think we should hear him out." Layla said.
"No! I already didn't want you here. I'm not about to let you be used as a pawn." I said getting frustrated.
"Look man, I get it. But we can't afford to let our emotions cloud our judgment right now. Kaine asked for a trade. If we go in there without Layla, he's gonna know something's up." Six explained.
"Yeah man, and she ain't gotta go in there by herself. Six can be our sniper like always. Me, you, and some of our guys can go in there to do the exchange." D said.
"This is bullshit! Had I just listened to y'all in the first place, these niggas would be dead and this wouldn't even be an issue. Fuck man!" I said feeling my anger rise more and more.
"We can spend all day focus on coulda shoulda wouldas but at the end of the day, this is the situation and we gotta play the cards we've been dealt." Six said always being the voice of reason we needed to hear in times of crisis.
"Yeah you right man. Aight I guess if this is what we gotta do then fuck it." I responded.
A few hours later we were getting ready to head inside the meeting spot. My crew was ready to go. Six and a couple of my other guys had already scoped the place out and were on a nearby roof with snipers waiting for my signal. Me, D, and Layla were all currently sitting in a van about a block up the street just waiting until it hit 9:00pm so we could walk inside.
I looked over at Layla and I could tell she was starting to get in her head about things. She was doing this breathing exercise she does to calm herself down.
"It gonna be alright babe. You know the plan already. We just need to go in there and make the switch. As soon as he gives me my sister back me and my crew are gonna unleash hell on em. You ain't got nothin to worry about mama I promise." I assured her caressing her hand.
Instead of responding she just nodded her head and kept focusing on her breathing. I looked over to D who was playing with his gun. I swear this nigga is a lil fucked up in the head, playing with deadly weapons like toys. I lightly chuckled to myself and shook my head at him.
"Aight we ready?" I asked everybody. Once everyone let me know they were ready we hopped out the van and headed towards the entrance. It was only me, Layla, D, and two other guys in the van with us. The rest of my crew was waiting down the street for Six's signal to go.
As we approached the entrance there were a few armed men outside. They patted us down before letting us in. Me and D handed over our guns to them and then we walked in. Inside the building was just a big open room and there was a hallway on the right which led to a back room of some sort I assumed. There wasn't much in the main room. There were armed men all around and at every exit. I noticed my sister in the middle of the room tied to a chair. Kaine was standing next to her. The sight alone made me want to kill this nigga with my bare hands.
"I'm glad you made it." Kaine said with a smirk.
"Aye we ain't come here for allat small talk nigga. You wanted a trade. So let's make a trade." I said growing irritated.
