Chapter 13: Find Him
Dominic's POV:
I slam my fist on the kitchen table when I feel her connection fade away. Again.
"What did she say?" Xander ask's, Lincon and Grant standing in the doorway.
"Find Sawyer Brooks. Now." I growl. Grant and Lincon run to the office like the devil is chasing them, eager to bring Taylor home.
"Is that all?" Xander ask's, tears in his eyes. I've never seen him so upset.
"She said to find him. It sounds like he's Soren's brother." I sigh. Xander glances at the floor, his eyes in a distant place.
I crouch down and get eye level with Xander and ask, "What is it Xander?"
"I remember when that man kept me locked up in a bedroom, he was an a**," I glare at him about his language but don't interuppt, "But a man named Sawyer would bring me something to eat and drink. He tried to get me out once, but the man caught him, but not me. He made up an excuse and took the fall for me, but we never made it past the front door.
"Do you think Sawyer is helping Mom?" He ask's.
"I hope so." I reply and head upstairs with Xander following.
——-Taylor's POV——-
I continue to sweep up the broken glass from the floor as Soren glares at me from the kitchen. It's kind of hard to take him seriously because of the black eye that Sawyer gave him.
I glare back because he also hit Sawyer, giving him a busted lip. Luckily I got between the two before they hurt each other further.
I push Diesel away when he tries to sniff the glass. Soren then steps out of the kitchen and heads upstairs with a p*ssed off look on his face. I can't blame him, it was a $3,000 TV.
I can't help the good mood I'm in because now Dominic knows where to look. A smile spreads on my face but fades when I hear the brothers yelling at each other. Diesel runs ups stairs and I drop my broom, fallowing the dog.
When I get upstairs, there standing in the hallways are the two idiots yelling at each other.
"Will y'all just shut up already?!" I yell to get their attention.
Sawyer, being the bigger man, walks away and down the stairs. Soren just stands there with a satisfied look on his face.
He ignores me and walks into his office, so I head downstairs and see Sawyer sitting on the couch glaring at the wall. In his lap sit's Diesel. Even though the horse doesn't fit.
Diesel see's me and hops up, trotting up to my feet. I ignore him and take a seat beside Sawyer.
"I wish I knew more about Dominic," Sawyer sighs in irritation, "He sounds like a good guy." I need to know more about him.
"We used to live in Cincinnati. He had a son, his name was-" I stop when I hear foot steps pounding down the stairs. Soren purposely comes down and begins to clean. He knew that would stop the conversation. Well, he thought it would.
"Xander." I growl.
Soren stops sweeping and lets out a soft growl as a warning.
"I don't know where he is." I continue. He doesn't know where I am.
"Why don't you get up and help me, since you caused it." Soren growls.
"Help yourself." I snap, but regret it when Soren looks back at me with not blue eyes, but a fiery orange. Diesel growls and stands at my feet.
Sawyer tenses beside me and for once in a long time, I'm scared of Soren. Well, more like his Wolf.
"Sawyer, do you mind cooking me some pancakes?" I ask, trying to get him out of the room.
He looks at me in bewilderment and I ask, "Please?"
Hesitantly, he gets up and leaves into the kitchen. Just as I had suspected, Soren stomps towards me and grabs my arm, yanking me hard. Diesel growls and barks, latching his jaws onto Soren's arm.
Without even flinching, he shoves the dog off and drags me upstairs.
"No! Soren stop!" I yell, trying to get out of his death grip. I hear Sawyer running up the stairs, but he doesn't get to us on time. This time Soren takes me to my original room and closes the silver bars so Sawyer can't get in.
He let's me go so he can lock the door. I run to the opposite side of the room, knowing I can't fight his Wolf when I'm basically human.
I push myself up against the wall as he stomps forward, fire still in his eyes.
——-Dominic's POV——-
I stand in the office, everyone in here with me, trying to find a valid ID, address, phone number, or something.
I groan and lean forward when something hard hits me in the stomach.
"What is it?" Lincon asks.
Grant stiffens in his place.
It happens again and I lurch forward. A pain in my side makes me sit down. I grip my head when a sharp pain bolts through my head. I cough out of surprise when what feels like a kick hits my stomach and chest again.
"What is it?" I growl at Grant.
"You're feeling about a fifth of what Taylor is feeling, because you're mates. He's... He's beating her. I guess she finally p*ssed him off." He say's in a stiff voice.
The pain in my head and stomach makes me growl. I slam my fist on the desk, breaking a piece of the mahogany wood.
"F***ing find Sawyer!" I yell at them, causing everyone to go faster.
(Don't hate me! Sorry it's so short but I have a killer headache. Thanks for being patient! Bye guys!) -*Bri
