Alastor's POV

Ever since I returned, everything has seemed brighter.

All of my friends greeted me with a tight hug, and I let them. I hugged every single one of them.

Just this once.

And ever since I put that ring on my magnificent woman's finger, I've been anticipating this day.

The day I get to see her walk down the isle. The day I get to call her my wife.

I was dressed in a black and dark red tuxedo, adorned with gold and diamond cuff links.

It wasn't even my choice.

Angel Dust dressed me.

Something about him not trusting my taste...? Anyway, he didn't do half bad of a job.

The wedding itself is small, only our close friends being here. Along with the royal Morningstar family, who are required to attend weddings in hell.

Because Lucifer is the officiant.

I glanced over at him, and he smirked at me, making me roll my eyes. But then the music started up, and my back straightened.

The large doors opened, and I held my breath, awaiting the arrival of my beautiful bride.

Except, when she stepped through I wasn't prepared for the tears that sprung to my eyes.

She looks so beautiful...

Her frost white hair was curled and pinned back, cascading down her back and shoulders in loose ringlets. Throughout her hair were glittering diamond pins.

Her veil was long, pure white and paper thin lace.

And the dress...oh, that dress...

The top hugged her chest and waist, accentuating her curves. It had an elegant lace pattern, the straps being a thin material that went over her shoulders.

The skirt surrounded her in billows, flowing behind her in a near ridiculous train-but she looked beyond fantastic.

Behind her jumped back and forth the little shadow creature-she called him Zip.

And he follows her everywhere.

When she had timidly approached me several days after I returned with him in her arms, quietly asking if she could keep him, I told her that she didn't even have to ask.

And never would she ever need my permission for anything...ever.

I still want to kill the little shit...but he is cute when he crawls into my lap while I'm reading, so I guess it's not a total tragedy...

My focus shifted back to my bride, and her smile was practically lighting up the entire room. Looking at her, I felt grateful.

So grateful.

The tears that had gathered in my eyes spilled, but I kept my expression calm, offering her my hand to help her up the steps leading to the altar.

She stood in front of me, smiling big. I returned one of my own, and she crinkled her nose at me and giggled

Then we both looked to Lucifer.

He went through all the words, and honestly I couldn't give less of a damn- until he got to the most important part.

"Aria...do you take this man, to have and to hold...forever United in the infernos of hell, through heartache and everything in between?" Lucifer said in a bored tone, waving his hand nonchalantly.

She bit her lip and nodded.

"I do!" She said giddily, and I nearly chuckled at that childish excitement.

My heart was racing, and I squeezed her hands when it was my turn to say it.

He repeated the promises, and I swear I could add just about a million more...

Then finally...I was allowed to claim her as mine, mine alone...and mine forever.

"I do."
