"Have a safe trip, Sultana" I smiled at Hürrem Sultan. We were in the middle of the harem wishing farewell to the sultan's harem as they prepared to leave.

"I hope you're happy, Meylisah. I raised you as a daughter and you defy me? Your mother is withering in her grave" she shook her head. She kept her voice down to not earn the attention of anyone.

"When the matter concerns Selim and me, I am ready to defy everyone even the Sultan himself. Only Allah can change us" I said back. She looked shocked by my response but kept her mouth shut and walked out of the harem followed by her maids.

"Finally, you can relax a little" Esma Kalfa whispered to me.

"Relax? No, I got news that Beyazid is trying to dig something up against Selim and I need to find out what it is" I shook my head. I turned around and left the harem. Esma was hot on my heels confused.

"What could he find out? Sehzade Selim hasn't tasted rum since you came here and he hasn't been causing any trouble since then too" she said trying to keep up with me.

"We will find out soon" I hissed. I walked out to the garden where a man by the name of Ahmed was waiting for me, he was a loyal servant of mind that I hand planted in Konya in case Beyazid started acting up and I was right; it didn't take long for him to show his real face.

"Tell me, Ahmed, what is Sehzade Beyazid planning?" I asked worriedly.

"Sultanim, sehzade Beyazid decided to create trouble instead of digging it up" he answered

"Sultanim, sehzade Beyazid decided to create trouble instead of digging it up" he answered. I raised my eyebrow shocked.

"How so?" I asked confused. Ahmed looked behind me at Esma but said nothing when I looked at her then back at him and did nothing about her presence.

"He will be stealing the gold being sent to Sehzade Selim from the capital" he answered. The gold that is supposed to help up fix the economy in Manisa.

" I will handle it from here, keep on watching him" I ordered. He bowed and left the gardens.

"What are we supposed to do now?" Esma asked worriedly.

"Send a letter and tell them to change the route. Send a fake chest with a letter telling Beyazid or his failure, maybe this will make him stop whatever childish stunt he was planning" I answered. She bowed and raced back into the palace.

"Didn't know I was invisible" I turned around to find Selim standing behind some bushes. He stepped out and closer to me with a frown.

"Not invisible, but busy at the moment and I had to act as fast as possible to stop a disaster from happening besides it's not like I was planning on keeping it a secret" I answered shrugging. It did scare me that he wouldn't understand my point of view but I knew he loved me too much to not hear me out.

"When were you planning on telling me?" he asked crossing his arms in front of his chest. I placed a hand on his bicep to calm him down a little.

"As soon as you were done with your farewells" I answered. Selim sighed and looked at a tree nearby us.

"I don't like it when you make decisions on your own. I would like to remind you that I am the prince, not you" his words stung a little but I swallowed it knowing his ego was hurt enough today.

"I apologize if I offended you, Sehzade" I whispered. He snapped his head in my direction and looked at me with a raised eyebrow.

"If the Sehzade doesn't mind, I have to return to the harem" I bowed to him without breaking eye contact. He gulped and glared softly down at me.

"You minx" he breathed out. I smirked and turned around. I walked all the way back to the harem when an agha came running toward me.

"Sultanim, Sehzade Selim is asking for you immediately " he panted. I smirked knowing my little trick worked him up.

"Tell him I don't feel like coming" the agha looked horrified by my words. I didn't give him time to say anything and turned around and continued making my way back to my room.

"Meylisah" Selim yelled storming into my room with a glare on his face. I stood up from the bed and bowed to him.

"Yes, Sehzadim?" I batted my eyelashes at him. Selim slammed the doors shut before locking them behind him, for the first time ever.

"How dare you refuse your Sehzade?" He growled stalking closer to me. I moved away from the bed and away from Selim.

"I refused the mighty Sehzade? Never. However, I do remember refusing my husband" I joked. Selim grabbed my upper arm and pulled me closer to him ending our cat and mouse chase way too soon.

"How dare you refuse your husband then?" He asked calmer than earlier. I smiled and placed a hand on his cheek rubbing it softly.

"He made me sad" I answered in a whisper. Selim raised an eyebrow and smirked softly.

"How dare he make such a beautiful woman like you sad?" He tilted his head to the side. I smirked and wrapped my arms around his neck.

"What are you going to do, for me to forgive you?" I asked seductively. Selim's smirk grew wider at my words.

"How about I show you instead of wasting time chit-chatting?" Selim leaned down to kiss me but I pulled away when his lips touched mine.

"Let me think about it" I teased turning away from him. Selim wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me flush against him. I could feel him panting from the way his chest rose up and down against my back.

"Enough torture woman" he whispered in my head. His free arm moved up to the buttons of my dress over my chest and began undoing them while his lips kissed every inch of my neck.

"Selim"
