Nick and Jeff were never apart from each other, they have been best friends for as long as they could remember, even their parents were best friends and owned a law firm together. Nick and Jeff even shared a dorm together at Dalton and no one ever really saw them apart. They have always gone to the same school, where in middle school people assumed they were together, but Nick and Jeff just laughed and told them they weren't, even when they started at Dalton, they were pleased to find they shared a dorm together, and laughed at anyone who assumed they were together even though they both wanted it to be true.

because what neither of them knew was that they were secretly in love with each other, they have known since middle school, even their parents and best friends knew their sons were in love with each other, but they didn't treat them any different because they loved their sons. All the boys spoke about were each other, The Warblers and school. Nick and Jeff didn't know how to tell each other their, as they thought the other was straight considering they both had a soft spot for the captain of the new directions Rachel Berry the girlfriend of their lacrosse and warbler captain Sebastian Smythe, and whenever they playfully said that they wanted Rachel, Sebastian himself would get jealous of their playful antics even though Nick and Jeff were both gay and in love with each other.

Nick was in his dorm that he shared with Jeff, lying down on his bed, trying to read his history text book for his exam, but like always when he was trying to study he was distracted, by thinking he done what he does best, and that was think of his best friend Jeff, the only two people that knew of his feelings for his best friend were Sebastian and Rachel. Nick has always been in love with Jeff, eventually, the door opened and in walked a stress looking Jeff. Nick looked at him concerned, sat up and said

"Jeffy, you okay?" Jeff just sat on his bed, with his head in his hands and shook his head. Nick then got off his bed, walked to Jeff's, sat next to him, took his hand and said

"Tell me what's wrong Jeffy. I might be able to help you." Jeff looked at his intwined hand with Nick, and blushed, but Jeff like always thought it was a friendly gesture because they had always had done that. Jeff sat in silence for awhile, letting Nick calm him as Nick was letting Jeff taking his time because Nick knew Jeff needed time to be calm before talking to him. Jeff sighed and then said

"Nicky, I'm stressed out about everything and anything, like lacrosse, school assignments, the dancing routine for the warblers for regionals and on top of everything, I like this guy who is perfect in every way." Nick was a little disappointed that Jeff could like someone that wasn't him. Nick then said

"Jeffy, like always we can sort this out together, one thing at a time, I can help you with the routine for the warblers and your school assignments but the lacrosse part you could always ask Sebastian or even Thad or both for help since they are your captains for the team and for your liking this guy, I can't be much help with that if you don't tell him who it is that you think is perfect in everyway" Jeff nodded his head, as he listened to what Nick had to say, he looked at Nick and then without thinking leaned forward and kissed him. They both pulled apart, looked at each other shocked at what just happened, they both smiled when they realised they liked each other, and Nick then kissed Jeff again, when they pulled apart the second time, Jeff asked Nick out.

Jeff relaxed in Nick's arms as they fell asleep on his bed and watched Nick as he slept, Jeff smiled, and snuggled up to him while being grateful for having Nick in his in life as a best friend for as long as he could remember and finally as a boyfriend, and he knew with Nick by his side, everything was simple, as they supported and encouraged each other and helped each other through everything.
