Nick and Jeff, or better known as Niff or 3 and 6 around The warblers, Blaine and Kurt or to each other Jeffy and Nicky. They were a package deal, a matching set, if you wanted Nick you have to have Jeff, and if you wanted Jeff you have to have Nick. They were inseparable wherever Nick was you would find Jeff right next to him and wherever Jeff was you would find Nick right next to him. They are best friends, have been since they started dalton although some people thought they were more than best friends, which in reality both boys want something more to happen. They long to tell each other how they really feel about one another, Nick thinks Jeff is straight, and Jeff thinks Nick wouldn't feel the same way. Everyone at Dalton, especially the Warblers knew that Niff's thoughts were wrong.
Nick and Jeff did everything together. They auditioned for the warblers together, even though Nick didn't make it three times, but Jeff always made time for Nick, and in the past when nick didn't make it whenever there was a warbler party Jeff would invite nick to it. Nick and Jeff even shared a dorm together. They even spoke at the same time as well which freaked out a lot people, and they even audition for solos but if one of them gets it the other is proud.
No one at dalton and no one in the warblers but them are allowed to call them Nicky and Jeffy, they won't answer the others, they will ignore them because it's not each other calling them, but only the warblers and Kurt could call them 3 and 6 and only Sebastian can call them by their last names even if freaked them out and intimidated them sometimes.
Nick and Jeff started at Dalton together, were in the same classes, but just because they were always together didn't mean they had different interests like for example Jeff liked playing lacrosse and Nick didn't like it, even though he did like going to the games to support Jeff. Nick liked reading, and Jeff did not, even though Jeff didn't mind it when Nick read him his favourite book before he went sleep and before warbler practice. Jeff loves dance and Nick didn't, even though Nick loves watching Jeff do something that he loved. Nick loves studying, Jeff did not, even though he loves it when Nick stayed up all night with him just to complete his assignments, it was moments at night where they would complete Jeff's assignments that made Jeff appreciate Nick more and more.
Nick always thought about Jeff, and Jeff always thought about Nick. It was very rare that you saw them separately. When Jeff has a nightmare, Nick wakes up, walks over to Jeff's bed, and cuddles him to keep him safe, even though Jeff knows it's just friendly he can't help but think it meant something more, and whenever Nick is upset, Jeff walks over to Nick, and pulls Nick close to him, it always cheered Nick up, and he longs for the day that Jeff will wipe away his tears with a kiss.
Nick and Jeff had a talent. A talent for freaking people out, with their pranks, but their most impressive talent is talking at the same time. When they first done, it freaked out Sebastian and his brother. It was during warbler practice, and Sebastian had something to them and they spoke at the same time. It freaked them out but made Niff laugh because they knew the Smythe brothers weren't expecting it all.
Nick and Jeff were always there for each other. They supported each other, and they made each other laugh. One night it all changed, it was through the night, and Jeff was tossing and turning in his sleep, in his dream Jeff was watching Nick being tortured, and the sound of Nick's screams terrified him so much that he woke up panting. He sat up and looked over at Nick's bed, where he saw that he was awake. Jeff slowed his breath down, looked at Nick and said
"I'm sorry if I woke you Nicky." Nick smiled at the nickname, the nickname that Jeff was only allowed to call him. Nick looked at his best friend and said
"It's okay Jeffy, are you okay, you woke up terrified and panting, did you have another nightmare?" Jeff was silent, he didn't want Nick to worry, but he also didn't want to suffer this alone, and he didn't want to lie. He took a deep breath and said
"I did Nicky." As he said that, Nick got out of his own bed, and walked to Jeff. Nick sat on Jeff's bed, comforted him and said
"It's okay Jeffy, it was only a dream." Jeff melted into Nick's arms where he felt safe and protected. Jeff sighed contently and Nick then said
"What was your nightmare about Jeffy?" Jeff didn't want to tell his dream boy, that his nightmare was about him being hurt, but he also didn't want to lie to him either. Jeff sighed and said
"It was about someone I love and I care deeply about being tortured." Upon hearing this, Nick cuddled Jeff, and said
"It's okay Jeffy." Jeff felt content in Nick's arms, and he then said
"It was you Nicky." Nick cuddled Jeff closer and said
"Jeffy, no one is going to torture me, you already do that to me anyway." Jeff looked at Nick and said
"Nicky, what do you mean I torture you, I never want to hurt you ever." Nick chuckled and said
"I didn't mean it literally Jeffy, I mean with how you dress, what you look like, is what tortures me, what you do is good torture because I have to control myself everyday so I don't kiss you." Before Nick's brain could register what he had said, Jeff sat up, grabbed Nick by the face and kissed him on the lips, and both of the knew that after tonight they were finally dating and happy.
