"This is dumb! We're not gonna find anything here!" Xinlong heckled aloud, waving the millions of dust particles away from his nose as they arrived in clouds. "Shut up! It's worth a try!" ZeYu defended, grabbing file after file and spreading them out on the table. Shuyang flipped through each and every page, making sure he scanned everything at least once.

There just had to be something. To be completely honest, Shuyang didn't have any idea what he was really looking for. But, if he saw it, he'd know. "What kind of evidence could you find in a library anyway?" Xinlong continued to fuss, leaning against the many dusty shelves with crossed arms. He hated dust. And the dark. And whatever it was they were doing right now in the hot, stuffy basement.

"Be quiet!" ZeYu growled.

"Don't you care at all? For the situation?" ZeYu stood tall over the older boy. "No." Xinlong spat.
"I'm tired, I'm scared, and I'm sweating. If the room were ventilated then I might!" Xinlong spoke with a staggering amount of confidence for the statement.

"You are unbelievable! Have you always been this selfish?" ZeYu huffed, brows knitting together in frustration. "I'm not selfish Yu! I just don't get it! GouGou is dead, we were at his funeral. And none of this shit is going to change that!"
"What about the note?" ZeYu said angrily. "Probably just some sick joke!" Xinlong shouted, pushing the younger away from him.

Shuyang sat dazed as he watched the two fight. Was there really no hope? He had lost it when he heard about Rui but gained it back when he found the note. Maybe Xinlong was right and this was all a stupid idea. But then why would the grounds have brought them all together here? Just to confirm to Shuyang that his lover was gone?

The questions were sobering, yet he still flipped mindlessly through the records. The air seemed thick and he was sure he was barely breathing.

His eyes fell on the last sheet of graphed paper. Deaths, July 1980.

Gou MingRui sat as plain as day on the first section. Shuyang's heart dropped. He had hoped somehow it would've disappeared.

He looked over the last documentation of GouGou, huffing out as he read the information closely. "Hm?" He cocked his head, brows furrowed and lips molding into a frown.

"Age 25." He read aloud, the other boys quieting their continual bickering.

"What?" ZeYu questioned.

"It says he died, age 25." Shuyang said. "But he didn't. He had a month until his birthday. How could they get that wrong?"

"It's all wrong." A whisper tickled Zeyu's ears.

"He said it's all wrong." The man repeated aloud.

"Age 25. Height 5'10. Hell no that's definitely wrong."

"Were they fucking guessing?" Xinlong grumbled, leaning over the younger shoulder.

"It's all fucking wrong! They don't know a damn thing..." Shuyang shouted, closing the large book, a cloud of dust rising from the impact.

"If thats wrong, then so is his obituary. So is everything."

"I think you're over convincing yourself." Xinlong said quietly, placing a hand on the younger's shoulder.

"Xinlong, I don't give a shit what you think." Shuyang said, turning to face the older, and jumping up from his chair. "I have stuff to do, so leave me alone."

"No way! We started this with you and we're gonna end it with you!" ZeYu pouted.
"Right Xinlong?" ZeYu gripped the older's forearm aggressively, surely leaving a pattern of bruises. "Ow!"

"Right?" ZeYu spat again. "...yes," Xinlong caved, leaning away from the man beside him.

"Fine, but don't make trouble for me." Shuyang sighed, snagging the record book from the table and heading for the stairs.

"When did he get so sassy?" Xinlong asked quietly. ZeYu simply shrugged.

Loud music surged from the small home's open garage door, sure to bother anyone who walked by. But Hanyu couldn't care less, his body bent and contorted in awkward positions over some broken piece of machinery. He often fixed whatever needed fixing in his small neighborhood, considering his house was surrounded by a bunch of rich, old farmers who paid big money for repairs they didn't have to go to town for.

In this case, it was simply an old pick up truck.

Hanyu hummed along to the tune playing over the garage speaker, not a care in the world as tightened this and loosened that.

"Hanyu!" A bang came from above the working man, him rolling out from under the vehicle to see a tired looking Shuyang.
"What?" He asked, wiping the copious amount of sweat from his brow.

"Do you have time for my old machine?" Shuyang asked, gesturing towards the red truck parked in the older's driveway.

"You mean the sex-mobile? Of course I've got time for it." He laughed hardily, reaching a greased hand out for Shuyang to take.

"I also want to ask you something."

"Sure thing kid." Hanyu replied.

"What do you know about breaking and entering?"
