Hanyu rushed towards Xinlong, holding back as much raw emotion as he could, but he could barely keep it in. "You're late! You're always fucking late!" Hanyu shook in his aggravation, reaching out as he took hold of Xinlong's collar. "Hanyu!" ZeYu lunged for the two, only to be held back by Zihao, gripping his wrist hard enough to leave a Zihao sized bruise on the skin.
"What's your deal?" Xinlong spat, pushing Hanyu back by the chest and halfway freeing himself from the older boy's grasp. "You! You motherfucker, you never listen! Why can't you just do one thing? One thing?" Hanyu seethed.
Xinlong looked past Hanyu's grieving mug and laid eyes on the panicked Rui, Shuyang holding his hand in his own.
"I call this meeting to help GouGou out and you can't even be bothered to show up on time. Not for your own bother." Hanyu growled.
"I'm sorry okay! I didn't know why you called us here! Alright? Get off my ass Hanyu." Xinlong snipped. Hanyu growled once as he let go completely and pushed the younger back. The teen grumbled as he straightened out his clothing and took in his surroundings.
"Gou!" Shuyang called as he whipped around, eyes following the older as he ran past, eyes watering like a leaky faucet.
"They wouldn't be fighting if weren't for me." He convinced himself. "I have nothing to live for anyway." He said aloud as he halted in front of the crest of the echoing back cavern, swiping his dirt-matted sleeve under his nose and reddened the skin.
"Rui!" Shuyang shouted as he leaned down to catch his breath, hands on his knees. MingRui looked back at the youngest, an excess of tears producing down his cheeks. "What're you doing?" Shuyang asked quietly as he slowly stepped towards the distressing older. "Rui?"
"YangYang, please don't." He pleaded, inching himself closer to the edge. "Rui don't you fucking dare!" Shuyang breathed heavily as he got closer. "Why not?" He broke as a million and one overdue tears cascaded done his cheeks and settled in the hem of his cotton shirt.
"Come here." Shuyang was nervous. He had never seen his best friend so upset and absolutely never this close to ending himself.
Loud shouts were heard behind the two as the rest of their party came upon them. Shuyang kept towards Rui and gripped onto his shirt. Rui turned to face Shuyang and pulled him into a bone crushing hug. "Please don't be mad." He sniffed. "I just can't take it anymore."
"I don't understand." Shuyang sniffed.
"Please don't think I'm selfish. I'm just so tired. If this is how it's going to be for me, then I don't want it." MingRui confessed, eyes combing the wooded area as he saw ZeYu and Xinlong appear.
"What's going on?" ZeYu questioned, stepping closer.
"He's gonna do it." The grounds whispered. "What?" ZeYu asked. "He's gonna do it. Don't let him do it." The grounds stressed. Xinlong was struck cold as the grounds laid a hand on his shoulder. "What do you want?" He grumbled fearfully. The grounds stepped in front of him as a horrid blanket of dread washed over him, a wave of tears and broken sobs following.
"Rui don't do it." He cried, though he didn't know what Rui was going to do, the grounds made it perfectly clear that it wasn't going to end well.
"I'm sorry." The boy in question stammered as he swiftly pushed Shuyang backwards, falling bluntly on his butt. The force propelled the boy back and over the edge. He took in a deep breath and for once felt the freedom of falling.
I'm the end it didn't matter if he had been rich or poor. He was free.
The light emitting from the hole kept his eyes focused as he plummeted, farce winds flying past him. He smiled as he felt the ground near. "I'm done." He whispered.
"Rui!" Shuyang screamed, not thinking twice before crawling to the edge and letting himself fall afterward.
"Shuyang!" Hanyu cried, trying to catch the boy before he fell but it no avail.
He stared down in shock as the world went quiet around him. He couldn't hear how ZeYu cursed out the Grounds for not telling him sooner. He couldn't hear how Xinlong sobbed morbidly over the scene and the presence of the grounds displeasing figure. He couldn't hear Zihao gasp for air as he stared down the cavern next to Hanyu.
"Rui? Shuyang?" Hanyu spoke weakly. The shock that sat on Hanyu's chest was insurmountable. Two of his brothers gone all at once. He couldn't feel it yet but he hadn't taken in a breath since they fell. He hadn't blinked either. It was as if his body was frozen in time, hunched over the earthen made casket for his two youngest.
"Yangyang?" Hanyu called out with as much voice as he had left, which wasn't much.
"Yang are you okay?" He squeaked out.
"Rui? Are you still ali-" he lost his ability to speak through the sentence. His body shook in continuing trembles. First he finds he's a father and now he loses two of his closest friends, again he watched it all happen. His body finally allowed him to move in small increments.
"I'll get them!" ZeYu said aloud as the Grounds spoke through him. They all looked at ZeYu, who was just as confused. "They won't get him this way." ZeYu mouthed again, still as puzzled as ever.
It wasn't a minute later before Shuyang opened his eyes and saw the world once again l, only this time he was upside down. The group had gasped as the younger had been raised from the cavern, MingRui asleep on the ground next to the cavern.
Xinlong still sniffed and cried as he looked over the youngest suspended in air.
Hanyu was left speechless.

Shuyang shot up from his sleeping position, a sleepy Rui between his arms with a cheek squished against his chest. Shuyang breathed heavily as he settled back into the fluffy comforter.
The events of almost 10 years ago had permeated his memory and made its way into his subconscious.
"They won't get him this way."
He played the line over and over and over in his head.
His eyes widened as he squeezed Rui in his grasp. "All the victims had been killed in high school." He hummed quietly.
"Why wait for Rui? Unless..."
He looked down at his boyfriend.
"Unless they hadn't waited. They just failed."
Shuyang pressed a protective kiss to Rui's forehead.
"He jumped, but I went after him. Had they lured him in? No he was just tired of life... but... ugh fuck it's all so confusing." He scuffled with his thoughts before Rui stirred in his sleep and opened his eyes slowly.
"Why're you awake baby?" He asked sleepily. "Oh, I'm just, I don't know." Shuyang chuckled dryly.
"Kiss me then go to sleep." Rui smiled smally, pulling Shuyang down to kiss his lips before bringing his lover's head to rest on his pillow.
"Goodnight." Rui snuggled deeper into Shuyang's arms. "Goodnight." Shuyang hummed.
