There Comes A Time

"Good boy." The older spoke lowly as he stared up at his son, admiring his handsome features.

"Dad." Shuyang said and immediately felt the effects on his tongue. It tasted bad to call such a man as him, such a personal name.

"What is it Shuyang?" He hummed quietly as his eyes mulled over the younger once again.

"I'm leaving, and I'm never coming back. You will never see me... or Gou MingRui again." Shuyang tried to even out the tone of his voice, but rivers and streams of hellish, tormented waters had risen past shore and were lipping at the backs of his eyes.
"How can you still sit there and act as if you've won, Shuyang?" Ren sprung up from his seat as the chair clattered to the ground behind him.

Shuyang repeated his father, his seat shuttling to the floor. The younger hastily grabbed the older man by the collar, similar faces now just inches apart. The son seethed as he looked the father in the eyes, hating every last bit of what his brain perceived. "The day you die, I swear I will piss on your grave." Shuyang growled, twisting the fabric.

"You little-"

"Why Rui? Huh? Why?" He shouted, trying now for a better answer.

"Why do you care you little shit?" The elder spat.

"Tell me now or Heaven help me I will skin you alive and parade around town wearing it." The son could feel every muscle in his body engage as his senses began to overwork themselves. "He was gay and he was poor, Shuyang. What more do you want?" Ren mumbled, am impressing fear jolting through him as his son handled him so roughly with threats as such.

"Was that all of them? Everyone else who was sacrificed? Were they just gay and poor?"

"Yes." Ren groaned, ashamed of his cowering actions.

"Down here." Xinlong said as the rest of the boys nodded and followed along, unsurprisingly ending up at the Back Caverns.

ZeYu nodded in agreement as they all followed Xinlong down towards the bottom, a bit skeptical of how the grounds kept them safe even without Shuyang. But, it didn't matter. All that mattered was finding Shuyang and keeping him from doing anything dangerous.

"Shuyang!" ZeYu called out as they walked aimlessly through the dark cavern. MingRui walked along silently as flash backs ran through his mind. He had been here before. He remembered slashing a few men before finding a small light. He fully believed it was death calling him then, but it was the outside world.

"Here." Xinlong said once again as they all stopped mid stride, watching as Xinlong eyes the open air, only for him to flash his light in the correct direction.

The five collectively shuttered as a crevasse of rock and dirt led to a wooden door.

"He's in there." ZeYu spoke as they all reluctantly took a small step closer to the door.

"You will die for this." Ren growled as he unlatched himself from the young man's grasp and stumbled backwards, scuttling towards the living room set. "Come back!" Shuyang screamed hoarsely as his body sprang into action, chasing after the older.

It all happened so fast, Shuyang could barely recall it.

The door flew open, there was a yell and then a beep.

"Shuyang!"
Hanyu shouted.

Shuyang shook his head as he looked over his father with disbelief.

"Why- why did you?" He sputtered, eyes washing over the many wires running up and down the walls.
