"Why isn't this working?" Shuyang nagged, a few twisted paper clips sitting uselessly in his hands. "I didn't say I knew a lot!" Hanyu defended, snatching the tools they had fashioned at his house.
"I don't even know why you what to break into town hall anyway!" Hanyu spat again, pulling his black jacket over his chest a bit further, stretching the fabric in an uncomfortable way.

"I told you! It's for research!" Shuyang shouted quietly, shoving his hands in his pockets.
"No one normal jimmies a back window just for research." The older snipped, tapping at the glass as if to see if it were up to grade.
"Well, Jia Hanyu, I am not anyone normal." The long-locked one claimed.

Shuyang had never been more frustrated with Hanyu in his life, other than when he married Dela though that's besides the point. He didn't get it! How could he half-heartedly help him break into town hall? You would thing Hanyu would be all gun-ho with the whole thing! Right?

Okay yeah, maybe not. But Shuyang was still sore about the whole thing.

He thought maybe someone would enable him to commit his crimes and be friend enough to not call him out. But he guessed maybe now, that wasn't exactly how it worked.

"Look! Just come back in the morning! No one has to know that we almost broke into town hall." Hanyu said, looking over Shuyang's pitiful expression. "What about GouGou? Don't you want to know why shits so weird?" Shuyang whispered, nudging the older.

"No, I honestly don't! Not at 2am at town hall at least." Hanyu seethed, gripping the younger and questioning why he had even agreed to the little 'heist' in the first place.

"Ugh! You're no fun." Shuyang sighed as he was dragged back to his apartment, Hanyu escorting him inside personally.

"Go to bed you little criminal." He stood with his arms crossed over his chest, watching the younger undress and throw himself into his bed.

It was cold.

Rui had always been in bed before the younger.

"I don't wanna." Shuyang said quietly, ignoring the fact that he was already nuzzled into his Rui-less sheets.
Hanyu felt a twinge of sadness for him. Shuyang had lost more than they had when GouGou passed, so his type of behavior wasn't a surprise to Hanyu.

Crazy, and illegal ideas coming out of the younger's mouth were something Hanyu could've expected, though they still weren't right.

"M'sorry Yang." Hanyu said quietly.

Shuyang laid silently under the plush covers. They didn't seem so comfortable without GouGou being tangled around him underneath. He slowly shook his head. "It's... it's okay." He responded softly.

Hanyu bit the inside of his lip and closed the bedroom door, finally leaving the younger apartment and heading for his own home, back to his waiting bride and the few childhood friends still sleeping on his living room floor.
