Dream and Sapnap were both shocked by what they'd just witnessed. It felt morally wrong on so many levels. After the little demonstration of what their targets traits, the general had gone through their mission. They were told that while capturing the girl, one of the Watchers had been bitten by one of "the others". This was something that the general used as proof of their animalistic side. The wound had apparently been difficult to be heal. So, speculations regarding if their bite contained some type of poison had been debated multiple times.

Dream and Sapnap had been told that they would be sent out there tomorrow. Their goal was to find their hiding spot and update the general about useful information that could help them capture these "creatures".

"The fuck did they do to her?! She looked like she's one day from dying." Sapnap sounded upset and Dream could understand why. However, he decided not to answer. He suddenly remembered that he'd promised Dahlia to meet her afterwards. So, he quietly excused himself from Sapnap, who seemed to be in deep thoughts, and made his way towards her room.

He knocked carefully to which he received a "come in" in return. He was faced with his girlfriend laying on her bed reading God knows what. She had her own room, which was uncommon. But if anyone would be allowed to have a room to themselves, then of course it would be Dahlia.

She got up from her bed when he stepped in. In a matter of seconds, he could feel her arms being wrapped around his neck. "So, how was the show?" She asked with a slight smirk. Dream still felt nauseous after what he'd just witnessed, but kept a neutral expression. "It was interesting, they look a lot like us." Dahlia loosened her grip around his neck and took a step backwards. "Looks like us?!" She sounded genuinely upset. Dream was a bit confused why that had been such a sensitive wording. "Yeah, I mean I thought she was one of us until she opened her eyes." Dream said with a shrug.

Dahlia started to walk around her room and Dream couldn't help but feel like he'd done something wrong. She picked up her book that she was reading when he'd entered. She oddly enough handed him the book. Surprisingly enough did it seem to be a collection of all the facts that they knew about "the others".

Dream furrowed his brows "Why did you hand me this?" She slowly returned to her bed and gestured for him to follow. She laid down on one side and Dream claimed the other side. A hand reached for his face. "Dream, they're not like us. The only likeness between us is a few similar traits in appearance. They're unable to speak and has enough features to be classified as an animal. Didn't you hear that one of them BIT a Watcher?"

Her tone was laced with a subtle, yet noticeable hatred. Dream didn't understand why this had upset her so much. In lack of response, Dream just decided to pull her closer and wrap his arms around her. She didn't seem to mind the gesture and rested her head against his chest. "I'm leaving tomorrow you know?" She sighed. "Yeah, your dad told me." Dream thought that he would feel sadder leaving his girlfriend behind but in all honesty, the thought of getting out of this place, even just for a while, outweighed everything else. "Promise to not do anything stupid." Dream just grinned at the comment and placed a small kiss on her forehead.

He'd snuck back to his and Sapnap's room shortly after. "Welcome back, lover boy." Dream just rolled his eyes. "Jealous much?". His friend huffed "Not in a million years."

He sat down at the edge of his bed and attempted to change topic. "So, tomorrow. We'll be leaving at dawn towards the direction where "the others" were last seen."

"Yeah, it seems to be the plan and capture as many as possible." It didn't sit right with any of them, why would they want to capture them? As long as their existence had been known, they'd never even come close to their base. But one of the base rules in the bunker was to not ask questions, or rather not to question authorities.

Dream closed his eyes, images of the girl kept replaying in his mind. She'd looked so broken. He didn't believe that they couldn't feel, because her expression had indicated the total opposite.

Slowly but surely, he felt how he drifted off and let the darkness consume him.
