That night i didn't sleep.
So no wonder i fell asleep in english.
Well it was boring so its a 50/50 chance it was a lack of sleep.

"Mr Campbell. MISTER CAMPBELL!!" The teacher starts shouting. I could hear murmurs. I knew why. The principals last name was Campbell. So was mine. No one knew. Except Max. He figured it out.

The teacher came over to me. And slammed his hand off the table. I never realised how hairy this dude was. Even for a male. This isn't normal.

"Jake. You either wake up and pay attention or i will call your fa..."
"Okay dude. Chill. Maybe teach something more interesting and i might pay attention." I reply. Everyone laughs except him and the person at the door. Who had only just arrived to hear my snide comment.

"The principal wants to talk to Jake." They say after knocking so quietly they may have well not even tried.
I couldn't figure out who it was since they were in the dark.
"Very well Jessy. At least one transfer has some manners."

I put my jacket on not thinking much of what had just been said. And get my book and pen. After that i salute my classmates and leave as dramatically as i can.

"Thanks for getting me outta class. So I'll cya round. Jessy was it? Never mind"
I start walking off when she grabs my arm.
I stop. And Jessy pulls me close to her. Its the middle of period 2 and we are on the stairs blind spot. No one can see us.

"Hey tiger. Goin' somewhere?" She asks.
I hesitate to respond. "Well yeah. I don't wanna go to the principals office."
"He never said you had ta go there. He just told me to get ya outta lesson. Said sommet bad was gonna happen. And i should be with ya."

"K. Ill cya later tho."
"Barely 2 month and ya forgot me. Baby we can be together again. And no one can stop us this time."
"Wait you transferred all the way from Arizona to be with me?"
"Well its a tad more complicated than that but in simple terms yeah."

"When you say complicated.." i start.
Then my dad comes up the stairs.
"I can see you two were busy ill just uhh." He says trying to be that 'cool dad' but failing dramatically.

"What the fuck dad?" I whisper yell.
"I said Jessy should talk to you since its been a few weeks since you talked and i got you outta a lesson."
"Not good idea when I'm pissed at you is it? Trying to make shit better by getting me back with my ex?" 
"Hey i still need to finish that conversation of yesterday. So you watch your tone."
"Fuck you."

"Right my office now." I could sense his anger. And his pain. But i was pissed off at him. So i couldn't care less.
"Im just gonna go to my dorm." Jessy says awkwardly.
"Sure." My dad says.

"Im leaving too."
"Hey i never said you were ok to go back to lesson or your dorm or even Jessy's dorm."
"Whatever. Ill do the detention. Just leave me alone. I don't want special treatment cause you're my father." I say walking upstairs to my dorm.

"FATHER???!!!!!!" I hear someone shout.
A familiar voice. In front of me.  I look up.

It was Adam. Oh god why him. He can't keep a secret to himself even if his life depended on it.
"Nothing."
"You're related to the principal?"
"Just leave it alone Adam." I say walking past him. He trails after me. Its the happiest he's been since the breakup.

"No need to mention the breakup dude." He says outta the blue.
"I didn't." I say. His face just has shock written all over it. "I only thought it."
"Well i thought i heard you say something so i assumed. Plus you had it written all over your face."
"What do you know about book 908.67?" I ask. He obviously knows something.
"Im not allowed to talk about it." Adam responds trying not to explode.

I drag him to our dorm and lock the door.
"Ok now tell me." I say.
"Its the history of the school dating back 3,000 years."
"Why cant i know about that?"
"You're a mundane."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
"Ask max. He cant help being smart and he loves bragging about stuff he knows that others don't. So you can blame him."

'Blame him'. Oh my fucking god. Vic wanted me to ask adam cause she knew he'd spill. 

I turn around to leave and Will barges through the door looking furious. To be polite.
