I SAT IN my usual seat at the back of the class and took out my phone.

Any news of Elias and I's appearance has died down from when the gala took place, leaving only articles talking about how 'amazing' we looked together and whether we were going to be dating publically. The topic still grosses me out.

I scroll through Instagram and reach Mina's post from the gala. Her first photo was a selfie of the Goldens at the table, her second was a photo from the red carpet and her last was a picture of her and Morgan on the car ride home. Her perfect makeup had some wear and tear to it and her hair was untied from the ponytail she wore. Even a toddler could connect the dots. She was bold.

Peter came to sit down next to me. He didn't usually sit next to me in this class but rather next to Elias. Inside, I was freaking out but he looked frustrated in a way. Thought it was best not to approach him. I mindlessly kept looking through my news feed.

From the corner of my eye, I managed to see Elias walk in with Elenor, laughing about something he just said. They walked to the two seats Peter and him usually sat. I look at Peter and notice that he looks tenser.

"Are you okay Peter?" I asked nervously.

He sighed deeply, "Yeah, just haven't been able to hang out with Elias at all. He's so busy all of a sudden, it's kind of annoying."

Following Elias and Elenor's arrival, a group of giggling girls came in blushing.

"Did you see him?"

"Yeah, I did! Do you think he's going to attend here?"

"Of course he is! He's wearing our bloody uniform!"

"He looks as good as he looks on tv."

"I can't wait until he does a Men's Health cover."

I hear them gossiping over a boy like he was a juicy piece of wagyu. Perverts I tell you.

The teacher walked in more engaged than usual, alongside a very tall and tanned blonde. Australian I might add.

"Settle down class. We have a new student joining our class today. I'm sure you all don't need introductions to who he is. Please make him feel welcome."

Morgan thanked the teacher before scanning the room to look for an empty seat. He locked his eyes on the only seat in the class that was right next to me. He didn't even look my way before sitting down. Unluckily, the only seat was surrounded by the giggly girls from before.

I tried to ignore their chatter but their high pitched voices made it extremely difficult.

"So why are you here?"

"You looked so good when you scored the winning goal against Russia."

"Are you Australian?"

Morgan let out an awkward laugh before the teacher told the girls to quieten as he began teaching.

A scrunched up piece of paper fell on my desk towards the end of the lesson. I opened the paper that had a small note with it.

Elias' hair looks ridiculous straight

can't stop laughing lol

I look to my side and see Morgan trying to hold in his laughter.

As soon as class ends the girls surrounding Morgan turn their heads towards him as if they were meerkats. All of them start suggesting that they can walk them to the cafeteria but to no avail as he says he's going to stay back to talk to me.

I felt all seven girls' laser stares shoot daggers at me. They walk away not wanting Morgan to see themselves starting an argument. I gave Morgan the look of 'what the fuck?' to which he just laughed off. I slap him on his shoulder playfully, which made him rub the spot and wince unconvincingly.
