DAYS BEING BESIDE Elias were nothing but blissful days of joy. How he would bring me gummy bears during class. How he would wake me up with a cup of tea and a slice of toast and cut fruits. How he would send me good morning and goodnight texts. How he was sweetly and softly stroking my thigh under the table. How could a man be so perfectly right for me?

I smiled, eating a bite of my avocado on toast as I tried not to shiver from Elias' ticklish touch. Elias was trying to hide his smile behind a piece of omelette.

"I can't believe you're going through that business deal after what you did to her daughter!" Mina yelled at Kaito from across the table.

"It's not that bad than what you're making it seem to be," Kaito argued.

"You fucked her then told her she was bad at giving head, leaving her sobbing before making a 20 million dollar business investment in her mother's construction company."

"Business is business. If she knew any better, she'd shut her mouth to make sure that her mother's already on the verge of bankruptcy business' plan won't fall through because of her hurt ego," he defended as he carried on eating his breakfast.

Mina scoffed in disbelief. "You disgust me, Kaito Yamaguchi. Absolutely filthy human. A piece of shit!"

"I thought that we were just having breakfast, not an absolute brawl with a side of toast and bacon," Morgan joked as he received a deathly glare from Mina. "And eggs too?"

Elias finished his bite before addressing the table. "I'm sure everyone will be at tonight's auction? Seeming as though everyone at this table has donated something for the cause."

Kaito sat up from his slouch, "Yes, I'm sure my contribution of a full expense paid holiday at the Yamaguchi Resorts will find much higher bids than Mina's bag and random shit."

Mina was nearly about to jump Kaito with her butter knife, "Vintage designer is hard to come to find nowadays. I even struggled to find the most prized pieces at the moment."

Kaito rolled his eyes, not validating Mina's attempt to persuade him that she was just better.

"6pm. Sharp. Everyone must be here to welcome the guest in. This event is our highest in terms of raising funds for the Golden Foundation," Elias had said before Kaito and Mina continued their argument. Morgan on the other hand watched the two and laughed.

Elias had leaned down to whisper into my ear, "I'm proud of you."

"Proud of what?" I asked.

"You're getting better from the effects of your mother," he said gleefully.

My dress was something my mother would not have approved of normally. A sage green satin dress with a plunged v neckline with a capped sleeveless shoulder line that fit my figure was of Elias' choosing. He insisted I wear the dress. Something about him going shopping with Mina one time and thinking of me. A sweet gesture.

"I look hot as fuck. Fuckable almost," Elias said to himself in the mirror. His blue suit was fitted to match with my dress with a pairing tie of the same shade of green. I would agree too, that he was attractive. Maybe not the latter part as of yet.

I walked up beside him, "I'm clearly better looking."

"Of course, you look ravishing tonight, princess," Elias said, staring me down in the mirror of my room as his arms hugged my waist. I touched his hands that were resting on my stomach.

"Ravishing?" I questioned cheekily. "Where'd you learn that one?"

"Looking at you," he said, kissing my cheek. "We should go down, unless you want to stay up here a little while longer, enjoying each other's company."
