I STARED AT the two rings on my finger in awe of their meaning and beauty. I was a married woman who was eloped to the man of my dreams. All this at the age of eighteen. If I was a normal eighteen-year-old, I'd be concerned about life achievements at a young age. Too bad I was responsible for an entire nation.
Elias' hand interlocked with mine as we laid on my bed together, disgustingly infatuated with each other's presence. Our matching rings brought a feeling of contentment as I kept staring at our rings.
He flipped me over so that I was beneath him and took my bottom lip. I felt his hips slowly grind into mine as his hands started to explore the rest of my body. His hand grasped the bottom of my thigh at the same time his lips started to take charge of my neck.
"Elias," I managed to breathe out, trying to avoid making noises of pleasure as he touched my most vulnerable spots.
"Mhm?" That was all he replied as he kept smothering my neck with sweet kisses.
"We have class soon," I said before accidentally moaning his name.
Elias lifted his head up, revealing his devilish smirk. His hands moved away from my thigh and started undoing the buttons on my shirt. "Sounds like you would rather stay here, princess."
I couldn't help but fall into his seductive ways of being under his spell but I knew what was more important. "Elias, my GPA is in jeopardy of not becoming valedictorian."
"Fine," he said in defeat. He helped me button my shirt back and do my tie up.
Elias was about to take off his glasses that he would normally wear out as a prince. It was abnormal to see him wear it with the Petunia uniform, but it suited him nonetheless. "Don't take them off," I stopped him. "You look good in them."
Elias raised his eyebrows cheekily, "Alright, if you say so."
He and I walked the halls, hand in hand as we had promised each other to be by each other's sides. The looks of speechless shock from the students still bothered me but there was no point dwelling on what people thought if there were nothing more than unimportant critiques. Knowing that Elias was there was helpful to ease my nerves.
We walked to my locker to which I grabbed my belongings for my class. I noticed that the hall became awfully quiet and intense. My eyes scanned the hall to find the cause.
Peter walked down the hall and was heading towards Elias and I. His face still had a few stitches from when Elias had beat the shit out of his face. His suspension must've concluded. Boy, did he have the look of revenge in his deathly glare down the hall.
Elias on the other hand looked cool as a cucumber. He had his arm around my shoulder as he stared at Peter as if he was below his worth. Which he was. He walked up to Elias and got into his face.
"Ready for the match, Matthews? Or is it Prince Elias now?" Peter said slyly.
"Good thing I don't need to prepare to beat your ass again. That rank one in extracurricular sports was mine," Elias replied calmly.
"We'll see about that," Peter said before bumping into Elias' shoulder and walking off. Elias blew it off and kissed my forehead.
Alice came walking up to us with a confused look, "What was that about?"
Everyone gathered at the gymnasium to see what would be deemed as 'the Final Battle for the Top'. Coach was assessing the two on their final sport for the season and the year which would decide who would be getting the prized award at graduation.
Elias stood on one side stretching his limbs as did Peter on the other side. He had his fencing suit on and a baton in his left hand. His face was extremely focused as his eyes stared down Peter; his game face was on.
