JAPAN WAS EXTREMELY cold this time of year, yet the beauty of mother nature who resides here still expresses her natural glow. I haven't been to Japan since I was fairly young and it was to attend Kaito's thirteenth birthday. I'd seen a lot of things at the age of thirteen however Kaito having a photoshoot with deers in the middle of Japan was wild to me. Kaito hated the way his mother made him celebrate the beginning of his teenage years. I'm sure he values those times now.

"I'm telling you Kai, no hard drugs tonight!" Mina scolded Kaito as we entered his private penthouse in the middle of Tokyo. I'd only seen pictures of it when he first bought it at fifteen. It screamed Kaito with the simplistic furniture and basic color palette. How awful would it be if a dirty dog came lapping around the penthouse?

"Hard drugs? Drug is a drug M. Shit, Tama you little shit," Kaito cursed at his small white Maltese who was running around on all of his furniture with dirty paws after his assistant had just taken him on a walk. The assistant looked extremely young, probably in her early twenties. She battered her eyes flirtatiously at the bachelor who ignored her then looked at all of us standing in his apartment as her cue to leave. I observed her briefly glare at Mina then take her leave.

Kaito showed us around his four-bedroom penthouse suite that showed the entire view of the city. It was almost six and the city skyline was outlined with a winter sunset. Something different about sunsets in winter, it had to be a perfect day to see it and admire the beauty.

Mina and I were to share a room as Kaito was renovating the spare rooms into an engineering workshop as well as his own personal man cave. How typical.

"Did you see his assistant? She was wearing the tightest clothes that you could see in every bit of her body," Mina said with eagerness to spill, "Do you reckon he's banging her?"

"Are you aware that most athletic wear is tight-fitting?" I said. There was a look of jealousy in her eyes. I laughed to myself in my head.

"He does like older women," Mina said before unzipping her suitcase to unpack. She pulled out a white sparkly mini dress that looked shrivelled up as it was meant to be skin tight. Tonight, we were to celebrate Kaito's opening of his masquerade-themed club which has been anticipated for ages. It was in the heart of the liveliest and thriving scene for nightlife in Shibuya. I would have not imagined Kaito to open up a club out of all things but the number of substances I have learned from him was even more eye-opening.

"Your dress tonight!" Mina threw the dress at me which I horribly attempted to catch. I looked at her as if she didn't know who my mother was, "My mother will decapitate me. Did you even consider this?"

"Yeah, but it doesn't suit me. Can't let a pretty dress go to waste." The dress was a rich shade of emerald, green that was clearly made to accentuate my breasts. My eyes widened imagining myself wearing something so scandalous and revealing. "And don't worry, Kaito's security will make sure you're safe," Mina reassured. I sighed and walked over to the shots of tequila used primarily as decoration on the night sad and poured two shots. I needed a kick before the night started or I'd have to remember it.

Either time had passed by extremely fast or Mina and I had taken extremely long to get ready as the boys had departed before us to get to the venue. Most likely the latter however I hadn't felt more uncomfortably confident in the longest time. I looked and felt so happy about my outfit and the several shots we took while getting ready definitely helped.

Mina and I arrived at the venue which had a line wrapping around the corner. The club was vibrating so violently the bass could be felt from the outside. We took one of the side doors and entered the lively club. Security had directed us to our private section that overlooked the entire crown of masked people. The two boys were laughing amongst themselves hysterically with empty shot glasses crowding the table. Elias made eye contact with me and his laugh diminished into a smile.
