"PRINCESS!"

Ugh. Not this shit again.

Elias barged into the classroom where I was peacefully studying for the algebra test. My peace was destroyed.

"How's your boring life?" he asked playfully. He seemed to have been possessed by a golden retriever with his smiling happy demeanour. He picked up my papers to look at what I was studying for. I've just learnt to not even fight him at this point. Classic Elias. "So you're going to Vy's party tonight?"

It was a Thursday night and I had an algebra test tomorrow. No way.

I knew the content was full out however I needed to make sure I did the best. Just to prove myself.

"It's a Thursday night," I said, finding an excuse.

Elias was unimpressed, "You're so boring. I get it, all you wanted was a breather from your parents but it shouldn't stop you from having fun."

"What do you mean," I held up my thick textbook, "Differentiation for the win!" I said sarcastically.

Elias sighed and then got closer to me. "Woah, can you stop trying to kiss me every time you want confrontation?"

I tried to move back but my chair didn't allow it.

"Why?" There was the devil's smirk again. "We're going to be doing a lot of that later."

Barf. I wanted to vomit at the thought of doing more than kissing Elias. Nothing more could turn me off than the lips of that douche. "And you've proved my point. Keyword; later."

"So in the meanwhile, spice your life up," he said, finally moving away. I let out a sigh. I didn't even realise I was holding my breath for that long. "I've heard or seen no progress with you and you're little crush. So, come to the party princess."

"Aren't Vy's parties the hectic ones with lots and lots of drugs and alcohol?"

"Don't take the drugs, just the alcohol. You're only a child."

I rolled my eyes at him. "I'm not going and that's final."

Elias' phone started to ring in from his pocket. He answers it immediately.

"Hey, babe," Elias said sweetly. "I'll come now."

I laughed at the pet name, "Babe? Seriously?"

Elias ignored my comment and hung up with the person on the other line. He turned to exit the classroom before leaving one last remark.

"You better go, princess!"

Turns out saying no to Elias didn't mean saying no to Alice. She immediately raided my closet to find something to wear to Vy's party. I kept dreading it.

And that's where I am now. Sitting on a couch in the middle of one of the craziest parties you'll probably hear all year.

Vy was notorious for throwing the best parties due to her 'connections'. Every drug you can name, she's got it. Ketamine, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy.

I wouldn't know much more about her little drug business but it sure gets everyone in attendance the 'kick' to just let it go. I'd like to keep to plain and simple alcohol.

I swirled the cup that was half-filled with mysterious jungle juice from the massive cooler that was filled to the brim of various alcohols and fruits. It tasted strong from the putrid concoction that was thrown in there but it didn't seem to bother anyone.

Alice was in her own world grinding against Jeffery Cox in the crowd of people, clearly intoxicated by how her head was swaying. Jeff too was under the influence. I sighed wondering why I even came to this party when Alice couldn't even stay sober for more than 30 minutes after arriving. Maybe staying home was the better option.
