PARIS WAS ONE of my favorite cities to visit for social cocktail events. Rooftop parties with the soft breeze, the view of rows and rows of buildings and the accompaniment of warming alcohol. The 'social' aspect of these gatherings was mostly alcohol and a side of gossiping.

big bro

what is the meaning of this mary?!!!

web attachment: 'STEAMY NIGHT OUT WITH THE ROYALS?'

I was dumbfounded by the new article Martin has sent me showing pictures of Elias and I grinding on each other in Tokyo. The pictures were so blurry that we were unrecognizable. How the media decided to illustrate the situation was to say that we were seen at the clubs on the same night. That was it. This was frustrating.

snitch!

I'm going to kill Martin one day.

Elias was conversing with Tatiana Woods, the very alluring actress from the states. She was no doubtedly a very stunning being with her flowing long river of hair reaching to her back and her glowing complexion. Her figure was accentuated by the tight-fitting Chanel midi dress she wore. Her eyelashes battered towards Elias as she pursed her lips with every word. Her eyes were examining Elias' attire with some sort of intent. Something about that made me boil.

"Princess?" Elias asked. I had zoned out of what they were saying. "Our nights are very exciting, right?"

"What?" I questioned out of shock. What was he insinuating? Tatiana was glaring at me with her icy blue eyes. I sensed the topic of conversation had something to do with me. Elias scoffed at Tatiana who was still glaring. "We'll be off." He smiled at her before grabbing the side of my waist and walking off. "What was that about?" I asked.

"She asked if our relationship was real because she hadn't seen us, you know, display some PDA," he said, sipping the champagne in his hand, "Nosey bitch."

Elias had a stone expression as he swivelled his glass of alcohol. He looked off distantly into space. Last I heard, Queen Fiona's health hasn't changed from the last time I was aware of and King Francis' public appearances were becoming fewer by each month. Elias has been acting recently, he too must not be handling the situation well any better than he was before.

Watching Elias looking emotionless in a silent pain hurt for me to see. Seeing him push his feelings aside and forcing himself to put up a facade in front of others. Sometimes I missed when Elias would playfully tease me. I hated seeing him slowly hurt himself.

I saw my mother gracefully stride towards Elias and I. Her usual accompaniment with my father was not to be seen as I saw him chattering with a group of men. The face of my mother was with the look of disappointment, as always. I was dreading what her lecture was today.

"Did you go clubbing the other night? You know how I feel about the tabloids and your unofficial appearances," she passively-aggressively accused. She pulled out her large phone to show pictures of Elias and me drunkenly grinding on each other with his hand caressing my upper rib. The sight was embarrassing, to say the least, having my mother's eyes witness an image as such was not what I wanted to know. "The lack of clothing is appalling. I hope that wasn't a random boy you were 'dancing' with."

"Apologies, Your Majesty. Won't happen again," Elias defended.

My mother was shocked. "Oh, so it was you my Mary was dancing distastefully with? I'm glad you two are bonding however there is a standard you must uphold. A reputation."

"Mary and I were simply intoxicated at that moment. Nothing more," Elias corrected. Ouch. "We will review our further endeavours in unofficial appearances with uttermost importance from now on." Mother was pleased with Elias' response and praised him, to which she glared at me as if he was the perfect example of how to act. She then took her leave to return back to my father.

Mina walked towards us with a martini in her hand in vintage LV. She looked gorgeous as always and was probably trending on social media for her look tonight already. I spotted some strange discolouration with her neck that didn't match with the pigmentation of her bronze tan. There was a slight red hue trying to peek through.

"Crazy night that must've been," I said to Mina. "How'd you manage to hurt yourself on your neck?"

Mina laughed, "Oh, this? I have no idea if I'm being honest. Probably another bruise, you know how I bruise so easily." I knew something was off when her eye slightly twitched, that and how bruises aren't normally red. "How's the wedding planning going?" she asked, trying to change the subject.

"You know, the usual. Not knowing a single thing about it because my mother has organized it to her liking. She should just remarry my father if that's all she wanted," I said in response.

Mina's eyes widened as she looked off into the distance behind us. Curious, I turned to see Kaito coming off the phone with an annoyed look on his face. Mina sipped her glass anxiously as he walked towards us.

"Apologies for my late arrival. Just has an intern fuck up one of my presentations by deleting half of my data graphs," he said, picking up a glass from one of the waiters.

"You need to lay off nitpicking everything Kai," Mina said. Kaito rolled his eyes at her suggestion. He was always stubborn to ideas other than his own and expected too much from what was doable. They both were glaring at each other, a tension between them was arising as nothing was being said. At the same time, a waiter had clumsily dropped their tray of hors d'oeuvres with some landing on the bottom of my dress. They were extremely apologetic however my dress was slightly ruined. Elias and I took this as a chance to leave the tense pair and fix up my dress.

We entered the bathroom as Elias hastily went to clean the splattered green sauce off my dress. I was on top of the counter of the bathroom with him at my feet. He looked so charming as he patted the surface with a wet paper towel and had to roll up his sleeves that showed his veiny arms.

"How's your mother doing?" I asked Elias to break the silence. Elias momentarily stopped patting and looked distantly into space. Maybe that was the wrong question to break the silence. "You know, I'll always be here if you need me."

"Thanks, Mary," Elias said as he finished cleaning my dress. "I knew that already."

I smiled at him as he stood up to meet my face. Our height difference was balanced despite me only being a few inches shorter than him. He looked at me with those blue opals of his. Something behind those eyes showed vulnerability, something I'd never seen from him before. I was unsure of what his intent was as we looked at each other silently.

He took his hand and slightly touched the bottom of my chin. I didn't flinch at his touch despite how hot it burned from his warmth. "What's making you so tempting, princess?" he said as he began to lean closer into me. "So, captivating?"

Our faces were extremely close, borderline touching. I could smell his expensive cologne that made me melt on the inside. The slightly mixed notes of vanilla, amber and sandalwood invigorated my senses. His eyes were so alluring by how he was looking at me. For once in my life, I would have let him kiss me. All I could see at the moment was him.

Except how his ringtone had to interrupt it all. Elias quickly looked at his phone and saw that it was his father on the other end which he hastily picked up.

To say I was disappointed was, to say the least. I didn't know what to think after what happened between Elias and I. We've never been that close to each other with that presence of other people or cameras. It was strange. I didn't enjoy it. I was seemingly yearning for more.
