"Mom is Mr Lee home?" I asked as I stepped into the kitchen she was busy cleaning. She still hadn't forgiven me for what I had said, but things were getting easier between us. She had told me she loved me the night before, which was better than the blank stare I usually got from her.
"Yes, why?" She asked suspiciously as she finished unloading the dishwasher. She draped the rag over her shoulder and placed her hands on her hips, looking me up and down like I was a criminal
"Well, Lix and I want to do something nice for him. We feel like we've been a little cold recently and we want to make up for it." I lied with a forced grin on my face. Even pretending that that monster meant anything to me made me want to put my head through the nearest wall in anger.
"And what is that my goofy little Jisung?" She said with a slight smile.
"We want to wash his car!" Lix said, forcing excitement into his voice. She smiled softly at us and went to get his keys. She always knew where they were.
"Don't tell him Mom, we want it to be a surprise!" I lied. She stroked my hair and shooed us both out of the kitchen. Lix and I high fived as we headed for the door as we began trying to find the one Min had describe.
"Going somewhere boys?" His voice made me shudder and I turned. There he was. In his usual shirt and jeans. The cruel smirk was his trademark and I wanted nothing more than to slap it off of his face. Lix turned and pressed his shoulder to mine. He had the clay, I had the keys. We needed to be careful here. My palms began sweating and I swallowed as he eyed us suspiciously.
"Ah dear! Come and get some breakfast. I didn't want to wake you!" Mom had walked into the hall and saved us. His demeanour changed immediately and he smiled brightly at her. He jogged down the last few steps and kissed her.
The kiss lasted for an uncomfortable amount of time, as Lix and I exchanged awkward glances. I could see him watching us with his beady little eyes. They disappeared into the kitchen, hand in hand, and Felix finally breathed. My body relaxed slightly and I hadn't even realised I was shaking violently.
"I guess we actually have to wash his car huh?" Lix asked screwing up his face in annoyance.
"Doesn't mean we have to do a good job." I replied with a devilish grin on my face. By the time we were done he wouldn't want us to ever touch his beloved Jaguar again.
"Gimme the key. Let's get it now before he finds out." He hissed. I nodded and handed the set of keys to him. We both fumbled through them, examining each one. It was as though he was a prison guard. There were far too many keys here, and I wondered how he didn't jingle everywhere he went. They were all different shapes and sizes and I dreaded to think what kind of doors some of these might open.
"This one!" I pulled it out and we quickly pressed both sides into the clay. Leeknow knew someone who would get the key moulded for us. It wasn't a perfect replica, but we couldn't do any more. We had already been standing here for too long. Excitement was coursing through me, and I couldn't believe we had begun executing our master plan.
"Go on out. I'll be there in a sec." Felix said as he darted upstairs, carrying the clay like it was a precious gemstone he couldn't afford to lose.
I stood in the driveway and pointed the hose at the sleek black vehicle. Water splashed noisily on the hood and I yawned as I watched it running off of the sleek black paintwork. I pushed my hand deep into my pocket and whistled to myself.
"Sorry, I got held up talking to Jin." Lix murmured as he joined me by the car, ah time for revenge.
"More like sucking the face off of Jin." I nudged him with my elbow and his face burned a rosy red hue, as embarrassment began spreading across his face.
