(Trigger warning, VERY VIOLENT CONTENT. PSYCHOTIC BEHAVIOUR. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.)
The thing about knowing you don't stand a chance in a fight, is the unwavering calm you feel. The sense that nothing matters because you're certain you're going to lose, soothes the soul deeply.
That's what I was discovering as I watched my father disappear out of the door, and his seven men standing eyeing us like we were prey.
Not having anything to lose also meant I didn't care if I caught a charge. Lix stopped struggling and looked at me over his shoulder with a pouty expression.
"I wanted to kill him." He stamped his foot like a petulant child and I lifted one of my hands to his chin. I placed two fingers under it and ran my thumb over his plump lips slowly.
"How about we have some fun with his friends first my little monster." I whispered huskily as I eyed his face lustfully. He smirked and I saw the flicker in his eyes I hadn't seen for over a month.
The flicker that told me Lee Felix had not given up on our relationship. I pressed my lips softly to his and felt him reciprocate the soft action.
"What did you have in mind?" He whispered sexily as his psychotic smile spread once more. I leaned in and pressed my lips to his ear so the guys around us didn't hear.
"I'm done giving you rules my scary little Lix. Do whatever the fuck you want." I felt the shiver of excitement spread through his body as he reacted to my words. He pecked my cheek and I released him from the cage my arms had formed around him.
"Who wants to play a game?" He asked as he clapped his hands together, positively shaking with excitement. I saw two guys to his left make a move but he whipped the blade from the spot he had concealed it in and tilted his head to the side. Looking at them with an adorable smile on his lips.
"What the fuck?" I heard one of them murmur. I folded my arms and took in the beauty that was Lee Felix as he spread his darkened wings. Preparing to soar into the arms of his demons and relinquish control.
Fuck he looked good.
"If you take another step, I won't kill you, but I'll make you wish I had." His eyes widened, and despite the cuteness in his tone, everyone seemed to get that they were now at the mercy of this crazy boy. He brought the blade towards his face and tapped the side of it against his chin as he stared around at the group, deciding what he wanted to do first.
"Lix, wanna play one finger or two?" I asked as I stuffed my hands into my pockets and rocked gently on my feet.
"Hmmm, no." He shook his head, and I smirked.
"What about guess the fingernail?" I asked as I hummed to myself gently. His eyes fell upon me, and he raised an eyebrow, clearly catching on to where I was going with this.
"Keep talking." He stepped towards me and I watched his tongue slowly slide along the edge of the blade.
"Who's body part is this?" He clapped and nodded enthusiastically as he jumped up and down.
"We could do all three!" He stated excitedly.
"OK, all three it is. Choose three of them. The rest of them we kill." I heard some murmurs and someone even scoffed.
That was a mistake. Lix turned, pointed to the three behind me, and then chose his target. Scoffing at Felix when he was like this, was like shoving your head into a hungry tigers mouth. I had never allowed him to act on it.
Up until now.
He quickly approached and began sinking the blade repeatedly into the guys chest.
"Don't. Fucking. Scoff. At. Me." I could hear the sound of his flesh turning to mush as Felix went and then bedlam broke out. I began fighting the three guys he had chosen, being careful not to damage them too much. I knew he enjoyed that. My job was to subdue them enough to allow him to do his part.
