C H A P T E R S I X T E E N || THESE TIMES ARE HARD BUT THEY WILL PASS

“Anna, I know you love music and everything, but do you think you could turn that down?” Derek whined as he typed away on his iPad. I rolled my eyes but turned down the TV slightly. I laid comfortably on the couch watching Hairspray, smiling at him sitting at the end of the couch, playing with his iPad. I didn’t know how he managed to do it, but Derek looked good today. He wore a pair of black Nike athletic shorts and an old high school t-shirt that somehow had my heart racing in my chest. We had until tomorrow until Andy came and ever since our “date” night, we’ve been acting like a real couple. We’ve been making out a little bit and groping here and there, but nothing else more intimate. I felt relieved knowing we weren’t rushing into anything, but slightly apprehensive toward Andy coming home tomorrow. There’s nothing more I wanted than to see his smiling face here, but I didn’t know how it would affect our relationship.
We were just beginning and I couldn’t help but worry with Andy now in the picture. We might have agreed to start a relationship, but what did that mean with our marriage? I couldn’t help but wonder what the possibilities could be, but Derek kept me grounded.
“Sorry.” I yawned, turning down the volume on the large screen TV. “Derek?”
“Yeah,”
“Do you think Andy will like it here?” I asked curiously. Derek smiled nervously as he placed his iPad on the table in front of us. He looked over at me with a small smile on his face, playing with his hair.
“I think so,” He sighed. “I want to say so, I mean; he seemed pretty excited on the phone.” He shrugged. “I know that’s not the same, but I think he will.”
“That’s true; he’s been looking forward to spending more time with you anyway.” I grinned. Derek grinned and pounced on me, laying his body right on top of mine.
“Derek!” I laughed, pushing his face away. He grinned and kissed my jaw lightly, sending shocks throughout my body.
“You know, when he’s here we won’t be able to do this.” He whispered, trailing his hands down my body. I held in a whimper as his kissed trailed down to my chest.
“We didn’t do much before.” I gasped as he grinded his body into mine. I lifted his shirt off him and trailed up and down his back. He smiled into my skin, feeling me up as well.
“Do you just get everything you want?” I moaned when his body thrust against my own.
“I’ve never been turned on so much before.” He admitted. He kissed me gently and squeezed my chest. He pulled my shirt off and grinned down at my bra. I rolled my eyes at his giddiness and wondered when he ever grew up.
“That made you happy.” I chimed, feeling his growing erection. He blushed but his smile still stayed firm on his face.
“Lace.”
“Why doesn’t this surprise me?”
“Shut up.” He huffed, leaning back down to kiss me once again. I wrapped my legs around his waist, trying to feel him closer against me. My body was on fire, something I’ve never felt with anyone else. I had all this burnt up passion and I wanted nothing more than to feel his skin against mine.
