Chapter 8

The last few days I've been able to bolt out of class before Jules could grab me and I was planning on doing that today too. I was doodling away when the bell rang. Lloyd snaps awake and both of us pack our stuff up. I couldn't help but lightly laugh at how dazed he is.

Handing him his folder he stops his frantic searching. "Thanks doll face" he sends me a tired smirk and I roll my eyes. "Anything for you lover boy" I give him the same amount of energy and he rests his cheek on his hand with a tired smile.

I bring my stuff to my chest and turn to leave the room. One step out the door and my arm is taken from my side. "I found you this time!" She laughs making me sigh to myself. "I guess I'm socializing today" I mumble getting a nod from Jules. "If I ever become too much you can tell me... but you should sit with us today" she nudges me. I just nod.

"If you can catch me in time I'll sit with you" I half joke getting a smile. "So guess you're stuck with us today" she does joke using her free hand to flatten out her jeans. They were light blue and she paired it with a long sleeve pale green shirt as well as a head band in the same color holding back her golden curls. She was cute that was for sure.

"For today, maybe tomorrow?" I edge her on getting a giggle. I push the lunch room door open for her and that just kept her giggling going. She walks in and I follow as we make our way to the table where Ivana was already sitting. Leo and Taylor were walking in through the other door and I already knew Lloyd was behind us.

I sat on the other side of the table from Ivana not wanting to start shit with her. The girl quite literally hates me and all I can do is laugh about it. Jules sat on my other side and Leo joined us sitting next to Ivana. She gave him a look but relaxed- which meant he could stay. I once again want to laugh because of the way she is- she basically owns the place.

Taylor was next and she sat next to Leo. I stopped staring at the three and look to the door as it opens again. Lloyd walks in with a charming smile, he literally screams popular hot boy. The varsity jacket the light tan. The shaggy light brown hair. All of it. I would totally suck his- fuck nope nope nope.

His eyes flickered to the table and then he looks over all of us before looking at the seat next to me. When he got over he set his stuff done and...ultimately... sat next to me.

"Must be my lucky day an open spot next to you" he chuckles looking at me. "Are you going to eat" I nod towards the empty spot in front of him. "Yeah- today is Ivana's day" he says causally, I give him a weird glance.

"We all take turns making stuff for each other" Leo laughs seeing my confused face. Ivana takes a bag out from under the table. "I brought y'all greedy suckers chicken wraps" she chuckles as Leo claps.

"And this is why I love you" Leo smiles at her, she sends him a glare making him pout. He shakes it off when she hands him a wrapped burrito type thing. Sliding the other ones to everybody. I pull my notebook out to doodle.

"Are you going to eat..." he trails off going to my ear. "Doll" Lloyd adds quickly and I roll my eyes again. I'm a sleep deprived emotional teen. I do not have a doll face.

"The food sucks here, plus Minnie makes huge dinners and I feel bad when I don't eat a lot" I wasn't lying. That women loves to cook and it's all fucking delicious.

"Mmm okay" he nods unwrapping his food. I'm the type of person who eats all night and doesn't eat during the day. Not healthy, but hey who am I to care.

My phone buzzes and I pick it up seeing a text from Brendon. Opening it up I smile at the image.

'Forgot to send this a few days ago, look at how cute you guys are'

It was the picture of me on the floor with the two kids. I save it and smile.

'They are so cute'

I answer and he sends me a heart back.

'All happy siblings'

I sigh at the words and exit the chat before going to my settings. As cringy as it is I change my Lock Screen to the picture and set my phone down. They're adorable.

"Why aren't you eating Dean?" Jules asked giving me a worried look. "I eat a big dinner" I answer simply. "That's nice! As long as you're eating" she gives me a sincere smile.

"Dean why don't you come to my football game" Lloyd whines putting an arm around me. I won't lie I felt some sort of butterflies from the feeling... wait. Dear god please tell me I don't have a crush on him.

"That involves being in a public place with lots of people- sounds absolutely torturous" I chuckle. He pouts to himself before looking to me. "What about my kiss when I win?" His hand squeezes my shoulder and man did I really feel the butterflies then.

Jules grabs my hand with a small smile. "I can pick you up! We can hangout and get ready together!" She cheers making Taylor reach across the table. "Count me in! I want to dress you up so bad!" The other blonde practically groans which makes Ivana snort into her hand.

"Uhhh I'll think about it" I mumble. Thought about it. Nope. Not happening. "Okay!" Jules smiles and Taylor sits back now excited. "And if you don't- we'll beat you up!" Jules jokes swinging a fist at me jokingly.

I blink and give her a smile as they all deadpan. "Dude you're like broken" Leo huffs as I give him a confused look. Lloyd's hand drops from my arm and I was honestly disappointed.

"Trust me I know" I laugh and they all give me weirder looks. "So what happen?" I ask wondering what gave them this reaction.

"Her fist basically touched your face dude- no reaction?" Ivana waves her hand around obviously annoyed with me. "Oh, guess I'm just not scared easily" I mutter knowing the truth.

"I wish. I swear I'm scared of everything" Leo laughs and I watch Ivana smirk. "It's becasue you're a bottom Leo" she adds making the others laugh.

"But I'm not gay" he groans and I honestly felt kind of bad for him. It was so obvious he has a huge crush on Ivana. "I never said you were gay just said you were a bottom" she adds and this comment made his face heat up as she picks at her food.

"You do have a little gay vibe going on with you though Taylor nudged him since the others didn't quite seem to get what Ivana was saying. I shook my head slightly while Ivana turned to send her a glare. I wonder if they are dating? Or maybe they just both like each other.

God I feel super flirty just looking at the two. My bipolar ass. I pick my pencil up and start to sketch out random lines my other hand going to Lloyd's leg. He flinches at first and I can feel him turn to me.

I smile and continue to sketch moving my hand further up. I can practically hear his smile as he leans forwards resting his elbows on the table. "What are you sketching?" Jules questions me as I continued to move my hand higher up Lloyd's leg.

"Not sure- I just make abstract lines and shapes until it makes something cool" I answer squeezing his leg. I look over at him and he bites his lip. "That's cool, are there other drawings in here?" She asks pointing to the notebook. Leo looks over now interested as well.

"Yeah, I usually do them here and when I get home I've been letting Marie and Zackery scribble on them or finger paint- that was a pain to wash off them though" I mutter stopping to shove the notebook towards her. She happily looks through it gushing at the crazy all over the place art. It was just a way of expressing my bottled up emotions.

I reached the top of Lloyd's thigh and ran my hand over it a few times listening to his breath catch. Smiling I take my hand away as Jules turns to show Leo some of the pages now getting Taylor's attention. Soon enough all of them were going through my anger related drawings except Lloyd who was staring at me hungrily.

Lucky him I am still feeling flirty.
