Happy Birthday!!!  JordanVictoria3

Just think 1 more year and you won't have to burden anymore families with your diease. You can live... be by yourself. You can't hurt anybody.

"Dean, will you be all set here, or do you want to have some more visits?" Morgan asks putting a hand on my shoulder. "Two is enough let me get my bag- they'll hate me sooner or later" I sigh getting a tug on the arm.

"They've read up on you. They already know about it- yet they are still willing to try. Please don't lose hope" he begs making me sigh. I just hug the man tightly. He's been trying to find me a home since I can remember. I use to beg him to just take me himself. I still wish he would.

"So is he staying?" The woman asks as I go to his car grabbing my suitcase. Just one year then I'm gone. Usually adopted parents are either super clingy at first or the type to give you a lot of space. So hopefully they just give me a lot of space and we can get this year over with!

Walking back into the house I stand and wait for them to finish talking. Morgan shakes the man's hand and nods to the woman. I was told their names but I zoned out and didn't really listen. I never do. I was in a whole different world during our visits.

Morgan walks back over to me and grabs my shoulders. "You call or text me if anything happens" he warns me and I nod hugging him again. "I'll miss you" I mumble and he smiles patting my back. "I'll try to visit- I'll miss you too" he chokes out. I smile before letting him leave.

Morgan slips away and I look to the couple in front of me. Please do introductions... please do introductions. Who even adopts a teenager anyways!?

"Hello! I'm... well I'm Minnie and this is my husband Brendon" yes introductions! "Your sibling are upstairs napping" she claps as I cringe at the words. "I can take you up there to see them Darcy if you'd like-" I cringe at the name and shake my head.

"In the nicest way possible please call me Dean. My birth mom wanted a girl so it was either Darcy or Sasha" I quickly explain and she nods covering her mouth. "I am so sorry I read that in your papers- I knew that" she groans into her hands and I shake my head.

"It's fine really- I'd love to meet the kids" I change the topic and she smiles grabbing her husband's hand. Minnie was a shorter stoutly woman her hair was curly and everywhere but it suited her. She had these these vibrant red glasses and a big smile to match it. I like her.

Brendon was tall and lanky his hair black but obviously curly. He had it combed back though. A permanent smile on his face as well. His eyes crinkled when he looked down at her and I already could tell they would be the clingy type.

She grabs my hand but immediately lets go. "Sorry I'm a very- um physical person" she apologizes but I shrug it off. "Should I leave the suitcase here for now? Or?" I ask. Brendon lets go of his wife to grab it for me.

Minnie ushers me up the stairs and down the hall before revealing a mint green nursery. Oh so it's a baby... yay? I don't know. Kids hate me.

"Okay so over here we have Marie" I lean over the crib and smile at the sleeping baby. She had curly hair. Blonde like her mother tons of hair on her head. The way she smiled in her sleep I could tell she would have a big smile like Brendon.

I'm then pulled over to another crib!? "And this is Zackery!" She hums with delight as I nod surprised. He had the cutest nose. "They're literally identical" I chuckle and she nods. "Five months old" she explains proudly.

"I was told I was infertile so we planned on adopting and we saw you... so we started the paper work. As soon as we did I became pregnant with these two. We couldn't just give up on you though- and now here you are!" She explains it all loudly but somehow still in a whisper.

"Thank you... that actually means a lot" I step away from the crib a little surprised by how kind she was. "Would you like to see your room?" She starts to move away keeping the door cracked open as we leave.

"Yes... I'm a little tired" I admit and she nods. "Okay so we put you at the beginning of the hall so you hopefully won't have to deal with the twins crying too much" she sighs and I shrug. "It's okay-" she opens the door but quickly closes it.

"We read the file but we wanted you to decorate your room how you really wanted, so we were hoping... well I was wondering if you wanted to go shopping with me to get you some decorations or things you like" she asks. I look at her then at the door.

"That would be nice" I admit. She's putting in all this effort and I'm going to end up disappointing her. "Wonderful- well here is your room! My husband probably went to go finish making dinner. Would you like me to come get you when it's done?" I nod my response "that would be great" She smiles at my answer.

"No brussel sprouts" she laughs and I laugh as well. She really did study my files. "Does anybody even like brussels sprouts" I joke and she leans up to me to whisper. "My mother in law" I laugh even louder at this and quickly cover my mouth. "That was funny" I try to stifle my laugh as she just watches me, smiling.

"I'll let you sleep then" her eyes close as she continues to smile bigger. I nod and turn into my room. Closing the door I look around curious. There are small cactus pictures hung up and the room was a maroon color. A white desk, full length mirror, black nightstand, and a bed. White black frame of course.

A tv was mounted on the wall and I see my suit case next to the drawer. The sheets were a maroon color and then a black blanket. The pillows white. Somebody likes to match their colors.

I put the phone given to me on the night stand and go to the full length mirror. Everyone gets irritated with my disease. So will they. They'll ask why I'm not expressing myself. Why I do all these dumb things. It's sad in a way. Life is life. Mines just shit.

I look myself over and smile. Unzipping my black boots, I put them next to the mirror showing off my one black sock and one white sock. I had on some black jeans and a gray t-shirt that was tucked in. A few chain necklaces to go with my rings.

Of course my trusty beanie. I always had a beanie on. I had one in about every color. I have a problem with them. My hair was past my chin and black it was on the thinner side but it was messy. Stuck out in every direction at the bottom.

Previous relationships or the people in them told me it looked good so I stuck with it. I have an uneven smile my skin was nothing special no glowing effect. I have eyebags- I stay up for no reason. I don't have anything to think about so it's pointless.

My eyebrows always made me look angry and I didn't exactly enjoy it but the last time I complained about my body I was forced to repent my sins in front of some statue my 2nd adopted 'parents' kept in their basement.

I laughed and ended up getting smacked for being disrespectful. That was the end of that family. Opening my suitcase I started to organize drawers and put things away.

The top drawer for my lovely beanies. I even had a hot pink one. Haven't worn it in public once but hey I've got it. When I finished with that short task I found the ear buds stuffed in my last pocket.

Plugging them in I looked around before hopping on the bed. Searching through my Spotify I clicked a playlist titled Loud Noises all the songs started with some sort of screaming or clattering.

Clicking the shuffle play I close my eyes and focus. Flinch- flinch flinch... come on! I was begging myself as this point but as the girl let out a blood curdling scream which led to some band singing about sex nothing happened.

No raise in heart rate. Couldn't feel my heart beating out of my chest. Didn't flinch. Didn't even move.

"There's got to be something- maybe I should go try to drown myself or something" I laugh at my dark humored joke but quickly stop. "Don't scare them Dean. You like them."
