She wrapped her arms around his neck. His hands slid around her waist and he buried his warm, red face into her neck.
Seconds passed. He still didn't let go.
"Mark?" she asked softly. "Did you fall asleep?"
"No," he murmured. "I just...missed you a lot."
She exhaled and ran her fingers through his hair.
"I missed you too, Minhyung-ah," she chuckled.
He laughed quietly. "It's been a long time since you called me that, Taehee."
"Woah, you remember my name?" She gently slapped the back of his head before pulling away. "Goodnight, yeah?"
"Goodnight." He swallowed and turned to leave.
"Wait." She stopped him. "What were you going to tell me?"
He hesitated. "Uh...it's not that important." He forced a smile. "Go sleep. You look tired."
"Yeah, you too." She smirked. "This is the third time I'm saying goodnight, so go before I kick your ass."
He laughed and left.
She locked the door, plugged her phone in, slid her AirPods in, and curled up with music playing softly. Sleep came slowly, after hours of tossing and turning.

He was exhausted. His body wanted rest. His mind refused it.
Her voice. Her laugh. The way she said his name. The way he almost told her.
He unlocked his phone. The glow lit up his face in the dark room.
