"What a day to be alive," Tiffany sighed dreamily. "Ningning called me pretty."
"I called you pretty too," Mark mumbled.
She turned to him with a grin. "What a day to be alive...Mark called me pretty."
They stepped into the elevator and before she could react, Mark leaned in and pressed a quick kiss to her cheek.
"Ayo-"
The doors slid shut.
He burst out laughing. "You look so cute when you're flustered."
Her face burned. "No, but what the actual hell was that? Who is teaching you this behavior?"
"Since I couldn't make a move on you in high school, I'm making up for it now," he teased. "Just kidding."
...Mostly.
"Oh shit, I forgot to press the floor," Mark said, reaching for the button.
She smacked his arm lightly. "Idiot."
From the outside, nobody would've guessed they weren't dating.
"Oh, by the way," she said, "mom and dad got a dog."
"No way," he smiled. "What breed?"
"A Samoyed."
"Didn't you love Samoyeds?"
Her eyes softened. "Aw...you remember."
He scratched the back of his neck, smiling shyly.
The elevator stopped on another floor. Tiffany stepped forward automatically and Mark instantly grabbed her hand, pulling her back just as a woman walked in.
"Hello, sunbaenim," Mark bowed.
Tiffany bowed too, then froze.
Taeyeon.
"Ah, Mark, hello," Taeyeon smiled. Then she looked at Tiffany. "Hello."
She tilted her head slightly.
"...Girlfriend?"
Mark nearly choked. "Ah, no! She's my childhood friend. She's visiting Korea, so I'm introducing her around. Her name is Tiffany."
Tiffany bowed again. "Hello."
Taeyeon laughed softly, covering her face. "Ah...I'm sorry. You just looked like a couple."
Mark laughed as the doors opened.
"We'll see you later, sunbaenim."
He gently tugged Tiffany out because she was too busy internally screaming.
"YOU JUST MET TAEYEON," she whispered urgently.
He laughed. "You're impossible."

"You're meeting the rest of 127 now," Mark said as they walked down the hallway.
She clutched his arm. "They're gonna hate me."
"They're gonna love you."
They stepped into the practice room.
"Taehee noona!" Donghyuck yelled.
"Donghyuck!" she yelled back.
He ran over immediately.
"Oh my God," Johnny said. "She's prettier in person."
"Mark, you won the lottery," Taeyong grinned. "Hi, I'm Johnny."
"Hello, I'm Tiffany," she bowed politely.
Introductions flew around the room while Mark stood slightly back with Doyoung, watching her laugh with the others.
"Mark," Doyoung said quietly.
"Yeah?"
"Don't take this weirdly," he said. "But I don't think she should be your best friend."
Mark blinked. "What?"
"I think she should be your girlfriend," Doyoung shrugged. "You look good together. And there's...something."
Mark laughed nervously. "Something?"
"You like her, don't you?"
