Tiffany sat in the front row, watching them record their performance.
Every time Mark caught her eye, he waved at her like a kid spotting his parents at a school event. She laughed and clapped even harder just to see him grin wider.
After the recording, Mark took her to the dressing room where the others were resting.
"So?" Doyoung asked. "How was it?"
"It was amazing." She smiled. "You guys must be exhausted. Let me buy you all drinks."
"No, we should be the ones buying you," Jungwoo protested.
"Nope. My treat," she insisted.
"Woah, Taehee noona is so nice," Jeno smiled.
"I'll come with you," Mark said automatically, placing his hand on the small of her back as he guided her out.
Her cheeks warmed at the touch.
They walked in silence toward the vending machines.
"So..." she said softly, breaking it. "What were you trying to tell me last night?"
He hesitated. "It's...weird. I don't think I should."
She glanced at him. "If you weren't going to tell me, you wouldn't have tried."
"What were you going to say?" he asked.
"I asked first," she smiled.
He clicked his tongue. "Fine. But I might not have the courage anymore."
She stopped and gently cupped his face, forcing him to meet her eyes.
"Mark. What is it?"
He took her hands into his own. "You'll think it's stupid."
"I've seen grosser things than anything you could say," she teased, pulling one hand free to press the vending button again. "You look like you're about to confess you still like me or something."
He laughed nervously. "What?"
She blinked. "What?"
"Mark!" Doyoung called. "Come here!"
"I'll be right back," Mark said, already stepping away.
She sighed and turned back to the machine.
The cans got stuck.
"Need help?" a voice asked.
She jumped and turned to see Donghyuck smiling.
"Oh, sorry, did I scare you?"
"No, I mean...yeah, I..." she trailed off awkwardly.
He laughed and kicked the machine lightly. The cans dropped.
"Problem solved." He handed them to her.
"Thank you," she bowed.
"Anything for a pretty noona."
Her cheeks flushed.
She turned, and froze.
Mark was standing behind Donghyuck, watching them.
"Oh," she said softly. "What are you doing here?"
