I was walking on the road on my way to tutorials, I had English by 12pm and it was currently eleven am in the morning. I still had like 20mins left before I got to the tutorial center when I saw a car pull up to the side of the road stopping right in front of me.

Confused I waited for the car to probably move off the side of the road, only to see the window glass slide down to reveal Derin and his older brother in the car. Derin had an older brother and a younger sister, his brother was studying computer engineering in the states but I guess he was currently around.

Sayo was the epitome of good looks, he had thick black hair with specs of grey scattered on them, deep black eyes, pointed nose and small lips. He was very good looking and he and Derin looked very much alike with just a three year age gap between them.

"Hey Tam tam, heading to tutorials I see.." Derin greeted with a smile.
"Derin? Hello.." I greeted back nervously as I felt sayo's eyes on me.
"Tamilore how're you?" Sayo greeted giving me a small smile causing me to blush shyly under his gaze.

"Sayo.., Hi.. it's so surprising to see you" I answered softly.
"Yeah, I'm around for a while" he answered his voice smooth with an American accent to it.

When I was 13, I had a huge crush on Sayo. Our mums back then we're part of the women's congregation of the church, his mum the president and my mum the general secretary so I hung out at derin's place a lot. Derin knew about my crush on his brother and he'd tease me about it, we all used to play together in their huge backyard.

Sayo was so protective of me back then but when he turned sixteen his parents sent him to the states to study and I hardly saw him and my infatuation for him stopped and slowly I started to develop feelings for Derin but seeing him again stirred my emotions just a little bit.

Derin looked at the both of us with suspicious looks before breaking the silence "Tami, get in. We're both going to the academy together"

"Okay" I answered getting into the car from the back door.
Sayo immediately started driving as I felt him give me subtle glances from the mirror, Derin busy typing on his phone.
"So Tami, what course do you plan on studying in school?" Sayo asked me startling me a bit that he was talking to me.

"Medicine" I immediately answered.
"Wow, that's very impressive. Derin aren't you also going to study medicine?" Sayo asked his brother.

"Yeah bro, Tami and I are going to Same university actually" he answered surprising me.
"We are??" I asked in shock looking at him fully.

"Yeah, I applied to crown lake yesterday.." he replied giving me a smile.
"But? What about you going abroad to study?" I asked again.

"I thought about it and decided not to, I'll just go for vacations and come back." He answered with a shrug confusing me.

Crown lake university was a very prestigious university in Nigeria, it was located in Lagos and very expensive because it was private owned because only exclusive elites and children of rich business men, governors, you name it attended it.

My mum was the one that pushed me to apply because of their standard medical school which I found very impressive, I actually wanted to go to a federal university but my mum wouldn't have it.
I guess she found a way around with the payment of my school fees.

I just had to get 260 points upwards in my jamb to qualify to study medicine in crown lake. I'm not surprised actually that Derin was attending because he was from an affluent family, if he wasn't going abroad he'd obviously have chosen to study at crown lake whether I was going or not.

"Well, that's a new development." I murmured to myself.
"Tami you've grown though, I remember you used to be so small and cute" Sayo said with a smile causing me to blush shyly.
