Crown lake was currently observing our midterms and we were asked to leave our dorms and go to our various houses. I was currently at home in my room watching a movie. I saw the a short video of Derin and tony fighting in a party and I was very upset he went through all of that trouble just because of me.
The video went viral and everyone was just talking about how Derin stood up for girls that get cheated on by their boyfriends.. not the real reason for the video though but still...
When I spoke to him about it, he just shrugged it off saying he promised me he was going to kill tony when next he saw him and he was only keeping to that promise.

My mum and sisters weren't currently around, they travelled to the village for a relative's burial ceremony and I couldn't tag along because of school. But I was back and had nothing to do or nowhere to go. Kemi was still back in school and Desola lives all the way in another state. I turned off my laptop deciding to just sleep when i heard my doorbell ring.
Who could that be?
My phone rang, picking it up to see that it was Derin calling.
"Hey baby, I'm outside your door.."
"You're here? Wow okay.. I'll be right out"
I said hanging up, excitement bubbling inside me as i couldn't wait to see him. We haven't really seen each other much ever since our date. We were both so busy with school and classes and since our year was so populated we were divided into two groups so it could be easier for our lecturers and we were put in different groups.
Opening the door to see him standing outside looking exceptionally handsome in a pair of jeans and black hoodie holding unto a suitcase.
What's he doing with that suitcase?
"Hey Derin.. why's that in your hand?" I questioned in slight confusion staring at the bag in his hands.
"Because I'm staying over tam tam" he said enthusiastically causing my eyes to widen in surprise at that as I watched him walk inside my house.

"You're what now?!" I yelled out in surprise
"Staying over baby.. you know, throughout our midterms.. with you" he said with a wink looking really attractive as he stood in my living room looking a bit out of place in my simple home.
"Why?! My mum?"
"Is out of town with my mum for a relative burial ceremony... and I remember you telling me over the phone that you'll be staying home alone this weekend so I thought why not?" He shrugged cutely giving me a smirk causing me to chuckle in disbelief.

"Derin you can't stay here.. where would you even sleep?" I said stating the obvious
"With you duhh" he teased playfully
"You can't sleep in my bedroom dummy" i argued back
"But whyyyy" he whined like a baby the action really cute as i tried really hard to hold back my smile.
"Because it's mine and you can't" i said firmly as I watched him drop his suitcase on the floor walking closer to me as he stood right in front of me holding my arms..
"Please tamiiii, Pleaseee let me stay here. I don't have anything to do all weekend and you're my girlfriend and I just want to be with you" he begged cutely causing my heart to softly melt at that.
He was totally lying about not having anything to do all weekend. Derin was popular and had a lot of friends unlike me..
"Fine, you can stay here." i gave in finally as he pecked me in excitement walking into my room with his suitcase as I shyly trailed after him wondering what I just agreed to.
Derin looked around my simple room with no expression whatsoever on his face seeming to take it all in. Closing the door, i sat on my bed as i observed his every movement before he eyes finally landed on mine a sweet smile growing on his face.
"Your room hasn't changed one bit tami.. still has that same homey feeling to it" he said jumping on my bed and hugging me close to him.
"I know I upset you by beating up tony, but I just wanted to stand up for you. He hurt you baby, and i wanted to send him a very painful message.. but I'm sorry and I promise I won't go around beating any more people" he apologized softly our eyes locked on each other as I gave him an understanding smile nodding my head in acceptance.

"It's fine Derin, thank you."
"Anything for the girl of my dreams.." he said with a wink untangling himself from my body making me laugh softly.
"So what do you wanna do first?" I asked curiously as I watched him make himself comfortable on my bed before tapping the side next to him.
I joined him sitting next to him as he pulled me closer to himself turning his eyes to meet mine as i watched them twinkle in delight just by being close to me.
"Let's just watch some TikToks together and then we can make out for as long as we want to" be teased with a smirk causing me to blush at that.
"Derinnnn" i whined in soft embarrassment causing him to laugh at that before giving me a soft kiss.
"I'm here all weekend baby.. you don't think I'm going to want to kiss you all the time? You tami don't know what you just got yourself into" he said with a wink as I watched him bring out his phone scrolling through TikTok.

Derin was currently asleep as i stared at his exquisite facial features wondering how we got to this level. If anyone ever told me I'd get Derin over in my house sleeping on my bed holding me really close to him I'd literally laugh  in their faces. Seeming to sense that I was staring at him, I felt his hands snake around my waist pulling me really close to him the action slightly surprising me my face inches away from his as i adored his long eyelashes before they softly fluttered open to reveal his deep black eyes.
"Hi" i whispered softly
"Hey.." he said a soft smile growing on his lips causing my heart to thud softly
"You fell asleep.." i said stating the obvious
"Yeah.. something about you is just peaceful.." he whispered back, his deep voice causing my hormones to go in a frenzy.
"Really?"
"Really.." he leaned in to kiss me, the feeling of his mouth igniting soft sparks inside of me as I felt his hands hold me and his fingers trail patterns on my body.
The kiss got intense and i felt him lift me unto him as i straddled him with us still kissing, neither of us wanting to pull away my hands finding its way to his hair and softly pulling on it causing him to softly groan in pleasure at that. He redrew from my lips the both of panting in pleasure, the only sound in the room coming from our beating hearts. He rested his forehead on mine as we stared at each other.
"I'm falling inlove with you tami" he whispered softly making me smile.
"Me too Derin.." i replied back my answer surprising him as he raised his head from mine..
I played with hair, his hands still wrapped around my waist as we stayed close to each other. " Really Tami?"
"Yeah.." I replied with a soft smile.
He immediately kissed me all over my face the action really ticklish causing me to laugh in happiness as he kept on going with it before finally stopping.
"I love you tami"
Awwwww...
His twinkling eyes searched deeply into mine waiting for my answer as i leaned in kissing him once more.
"I love you too Derin"
His eyes immediately shone in delight, the sides of lips curling into a huge smile causing me to blush softly as I realized that those three words were for us and how much it meant to him.
"I love you tami!" He said once more tickling me causing me to laugh in happiness loving every second spent with him.
The best feeling anyone could ever get is getting to hear your best friend tell you those beautiful three words.. and I'll always cherish these moments. The moment when Derin told me he loved me.

Every second spent between them makes me want to hug someone.. their love is just so special and I badly want that.

It's funny I can write so well about love and not even know how it really feels..
I'm gonna tell you guys a short sad story..
This book was inspired by my relationship with my best friend( sort of my first love too)
We eventually dated for a while and it was cute and fun and I never wanted it to end.. felt like I was dreaming.. I finally was dating him! But then not all relationships last.. just like Tony's and Tami's.. we eventually broke up and that breakup affected me badly.. I didn't get my Happy ever after him but I'll always cherish those little moments we shared together.. and I know he does too even though right now things aren't the same again.

I wanted to give tami her own happy ever after with Derin.. she deserves it, even if this book was inspired by him and I didn't get mine I wanted tami to get hers.. and I know I made the right decision.
Everyone deserves a happy ever after.
